It was gonna take something special for me to renew and unfortunately this isn't it. A ticket campaign along the lines of what Huddersfield and Bradford used to pack their grounds recently would have.

I can't justify the petrol of a 160 mile round trip and £315 for a season ticket after the last year and a half. I'll get a flexi ticket instead, if they end up doing them that is.

Does anyone know if the fee just for 'new' season tickets, or are we all getting new pass cards again when renewing? Thought the idea of passes was to enable them to be used for a few years before needing to be replaced. I assume the Club will explain all when officially announced - or not...

It said that it would be loaded on to our existing cards. Although that makes me even more confused about what the fee is for.

Who could blame anyone for not wanting to renew after what has been served up this season.

I dissapointed as well. I will renew as I don't have extra costs to worry about but I was really hopeful we would see something different from the new regime. It's appears to be more of the same.

I’ll be waiting to see if we are solely bringing punts in or players that might be ready to play - I accept nothing is guaranteed

I would assume that the fee won't be added if renewing. But I've assumed things in the past with BFC and been proved wrong - may wait for a few days to see what occurs.

This will all be irrelevant anyway once I win the Toby goal competition

I expect more of the same really, I don't even think the league we are in will make any difference either

Then I reserve the right to pick and choose my games.

I’m a **** supporter but have better things to do than be bored rigid every fortnight watching honest toilers try to make the grade

I'm old, mate, and other than going on archaeological digs I lead a very quiet life.:) I've supported our club since the 1960's and don't see that changing, ill health and finances aside.
Others can and should do whatever they wish.

I am struggling to muster the enthusiasm to be honest Kev. I now work away most of the week and with a young family it’s increasingly hard to justify the time out especially given the lack of enjoyment. I did take my daughter for a while but she’s not really interested in it - said yesterday that she can’t go anymore as Conor isn’t there. She’s only 5 before the superfans start like.

It might be childish but I want to see if there is any evidence of lessons being learnt before I chuck my money in again. I’m conscious I’m a hypocrite here as I’ve posted about the new owners paying the price for the mistakes of the previous one but hey ho, I’ll survive.

I can understand and appreciate your situation, old mate. If folk have stopped enjoying going to Oakwell, why should they continue popping down?
I would never be arrogant enough to think I know better than anyone else & lecture them on how they should spend their disposable income, or spare time.

Another aspect is that I'm 60 next year and if the club continue their current policy, my season pass should reduce for the 2019/20 campaign.:D
"The Senior age limit is set at over 65. Existing Season Ticket holders who have had no lapse in membership since the upper age limit changed in 2009 will continue to qualify at 60."
Proof, if proof were needed, that I'm a tight fisted, old bugger!:D

I've had a membership at a local golf club for 12 years until this year . The golf club raised the price of the membership by 10% while at the same time admitting the the standard course had been let slip so I decided to downgrade my membership to save a few quid . Anyway instead of playing golf , me and the Mrs go out for a few drinks and a bite to eat , which usually amounts to £100 . After much deliberation and threat of impending divorce cos she's now sick of the sight of me, I've upgraded my golf membership because it's cheaper in the long run . Moral of the story is , buy a season ticket it'll save you money and even better , you get to keep your CD collection .

I've been a senior for the past 5 years, like you qualifying when I hit 60, but the reduced ticket prices put me in something of a quandary. Had I the right to moan as much as I used to when I was paying full price for my ticket?

It would be nice if it was a proper alternative ticketing option, but it won't be available until October and will only be on sale for 6 weeks.
