Highly odd It's obvious that if someone in the ticket office has made a mistake then they aren't going to come out with it to the boss. He's investigated and made a point to them - surely all he needs to say is that noone in the office can recall the incident but apologies for any inconvenience and it shouldn't happen in future. Everyone is then happy. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong, it's just straight forward simple public relations.
very much so it is either a threat or an accusation everytime somebody complains about the working practices of his company. good job nobody made a big deal about the false information given out by the club regarding the stadium manager isnt it...
Somebody saying they were asked for ID in the box office hardly worthy of that kind of over reaction, albeit on an email like. didnt go to the game on Sat, were the speakers in the East Stand blasting the same old **** out?
RE: Why is everything an accusation or a denial? Very much so. Once again, instead of this small complaint disappearing quietly, the Chairmans reaction has turned it into a bigger issue than it needed to be.
RE: Somebody saying they were asked for ID in the box office Reminds me of our former owners attitude.
it was audible for a change work on the tannoy has obviously been carried out (although the reason for the delay is interesting). the music was crap as usualthough, the team actually ran out to a single trumpet
RE: Why is everything an accusation or a denial? To be fair for once to Gordy I can't see much wrong with that. He's asked around, couldn't find owt wrong( not that I'd expect someone to admit it) then asked for further details.
RE: Why is everything an accusation or a denial? Yep exactly, people like to look for the worst in it clearly.
RE: Why is everything an accusation or a denial? Agreed Maybe you should have kept it to yourself and just told eastsand Lower. Its gave everyone something to moan at and brought GS in for some unfair treatment.
Everytime someone criticises, is it to be met with "if the person who made the accustation will write to me (not email) with his name and address"....? sorry, me over reacting maybe. My sincerest apologies.
RE: Why is everything an accusation or a denial? I don't really agree. This is a fairly minor problem and the chairman has done well in responding to the complaint in terms of investigating but seems to be opening himself up to possibly having to do more work because of his response. I can see it is just his desire to try and be seen as doing a thorough job. All I'd say is that this wasn't a difficult one so why the fuss?
RE: Everytime someone criticises, is it to be met with Well he'd probably rather people write to him about it to try and sort out the matter rather than just moan on the BBS and get everyone slagging the club off without actually doing anything to try and solve the problem. He seemed genuinely pleased that I had told him about the issue when I spoke to him on Saturday, though of course disappointed to hear what had happened. He didn't imply to me that he thought ESL was lying, he may just have worded the e-mail badly.
what gets me journo is that employees of the club read this board yet it is left to people like you to bring issues up with him. why arent people at the club who read it whilst they are at work passing on complaints and suggestions?
If it were my business... Allen I got your email this morning and I must say I'm very sorry to here of the incident. However, having investigated the matter with the people in our box office I am unable at this time to come to an adequate resolution, as those present do not remember the incident in question. It is not policy to ask for identification when issuing juvenile tickets. However, we cannot rule out a misunderstanding taking place. I would be more than happy to discuss this further with the person affected and I invite him to contact me so we can straighten this out. I hope this misunderstanding will not prevent the person from attending future Barnsley games. Best Wishes Mr guest Then again, what do I know about running a business.
