RE: Everytime someone criticises, is it to be met with "If a match day ticket is being purchased, no proof of age is requested, and they categorically assure me that this incident did not happen, I believe them." Badly worded? Now why would anyone make up the story in the first place? A good deal of managing is avoiding or calming down possible confrontations and disagreements and this hardly does that!
that sentance reminds me of one i read on here before from the club "you never sent any emails to me"
RE: If it were my business... Very well..nay extremely well put... "I really cannot understand it because they categorically 1000% deny that this incident has happened. The only time that proof of age is request is when purchasing a season ticket and that is for obvious reasons. If a match day ticket is being purchased, no proof of age is requested, and they categorically assure me that this incident did not happen, I believe them." So, Mr Eastand Lower, you sir, are deemed to be a liar, and are making all this up to discredit the club - well, that's how it reads to me.
RE: It could possibly be interpreted as Yes...name and address on letterhead. In other words, he doesn't believe him.
You know what it sounds like to me ... A young girl, about 10 years old, was once stood outside my house throwing handfulls of our gravel at the front window (our car wasn't there, so she didn't think I was in). As I walked outside to find out what the hell she was doing ... she decided that the big grass thingy (a Pampus grass or summat, sorry for the spelling) would look better on fire - so she lit it. So I shouted at her & found out where she lived. There was no-one in so I left a note. Her Mum came round & said ''My Jenny didn't do it - she's told me she didn't - and my daughter doesn't tell lies''. ''My staff say they didn't do it - and my staff don't tell lies.''
RE: I'm looking forward to mine ''I'm sorry'' ? ''Sorry, Gord''? ''Many apologies''? Something like that? I have threatened employees many times with my reasonable questions ... so I expect to be put to death by lethal injection very soon. Which reminds me ... in the 'Dream' track by 'The Game' he mentions that Kanye West survived a 'fatal accident'. Can you see the problem with that?
Denied 1000% That means if there were 10 people working who deny it 100% then fair enough, case closed. If,however, there were 11 people working..... did 1 person not deny it then we have him/her did 2 people deny it 50%, then there were 2 of them, did 4 people deny it, a gang of 4 bad 'uns Why did we not get all these facts? Come on GS, there's obviously something fishy here!
RE: It could possibly be interpreted as emails are admissible in court, so whats your point. jesus. maybe he wasn't usign the word 'accusation' in alegal sense, remember, this was an email between two people that one person decided to put on here, no doubt GS didn't expect that minute detail of his linguistic choices would be analysed for syntax flaws etc etc. if i looked over the emails i've sent on a daily basis and tried to pick holes and little mistakes in them, no doubt i'd spot 100's a day.
I know mate Everytime gordon says something the moaners tend to twist the words and have a go at him, like the above. Everyone doesnt believe Gordon and are now thinking he's lieing, but thats where they are wrong because if someone's lieing it's the box office staff! (NOOO)
RE: Denied 1000% If 10 people all deny it 100% that's still denied 100% It's like a mate of mine who thought because he'd drunk 2 pints of 4% abv beer he thought he'd had 8% alcohol!
