Shouldn't have posted that, people will start saying we should go for Beevers now just because of his former link.
It's OK I will make sure I buy the club, refurb the ground and bring in a manager who is 100% in control of transfers with no limit on how old they are or where they are from.
And if I did, I would. But it's clear on here the majority don't want money "pumping in" Would it change anyone's mind if I said I'd buy the club and "gift it" half of my winnings..... I.e. not loans or whatever to be repaid. Literally money in the bank......
So Andy Carrol has been released - we like strikers who are usually injured so he ought to be on our radar, ah sorry no too old
The thinking (I think) is if the charlatans pumped in say £5 million of their own money then when they sold they would want it back one way or another. But if a life long fan like yourself or me pumped in £5 million the fan base would find it more acceptable because they would assume (correctly?) that we wouldn't be bothered about getting it back as much.
As you state, it is not just about the number of goals. The most recent example was the battling he did, repeatedly, to present Marsh with an easy option for his first senior goal. I'd also add that his first, second and third touches in this move were all good.
Sorry to inform you, but we sold the table. Although we have kept a future interest in the matching chairs.
I would keep Adeboyejo for his heart & passion alone, he would be decent back up if we can find a decent first choice. Lacks ability but by god so we need the odd player who isn’t afraid to put in a shift.
Victor is a no from me. He seems like a genuine, nice guy but he’s already played too many games for us as it is. I get that our budget might not be up to much but surely we can pick up a free agent/player on loan who offers more? Time for both parties to move on now.
If we compare our Championship team last term, player for player with the top 6 finishers of L1 how do you think we look? I know we will have to recruit but our starting point isnt great.
Whole heartedly agree with this, and the sentiment in it. He seems like a nice bloke, he isn't afraid of hard work, he's likeable, I hope he has a good career and a good life, but as much as I want him to be a good player, he just isn't and it's time we let him go elsewhere.
Assuming we “cash in” on Mads and Helik, Beevers would be a great signing. However I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. Won’t happen, what with him having pubes and stuff.
Don’t really care who stays tbh. Neither do the players notice they have all now moved on to posting holiday pics whilst totally ignoring the fact we have just been relegated without saying a word.
The most recent example that comes to mind was in the last home match against Preston , with only a few minutes left we break & the ball is floated out to the right in front of the west stand where Victor has the simple task of trapping the ball in acres of space but somehow he manages to shin it about 10 yards straight to a Preston player, couldn"t trap a bag of cement came to mind, lets face it , he is to football what Putin is to world peace .
