We're owned by a Barnsley fan who has not allowed it to fall into administration. There are very few share holders in comparison to pre administration days. But being a shareholder meant bugger all with the board at that time, as they weren't informed of the financial problems and they then lost their shares once the club entered administration with no possibility of remuneration. Personally, I prefer the present set up.
The fact the old set up was poorly administered does not mean in itself it was a poor set up. An alternate view is that we are owned by one person who in theory can do what he wants with the club.
Which has meant the club has been better administered than it's predecessors. The club, thanks to Ben Mansford, has accepted it needs to build bridges with it's fan base and has been trying to right the previous wrongs. This, however, will never be enough for the professional cynics of the club. I totally agree with you that the best set up would be one of a number of local businessmen running the club properly. But we didn't get that and until we do, I much prefer the present set up.
I was going to call you a scalliwag. But that's a line I'm not prepared to cross. My earlier outburst can be put down to me suffering from man 'flu*. *Sometimes called a little bit of a cold.
so you reckon just Sky &the prem have corrupted football, what about Mr Blatter and his cronies then ?
