I'm inclined to think that it's a mixture of that and agent involvement, as opposed to us simply refusing to pay his wages for a couple of months, which would seem strange to say the least. I'd say there's far more to this than meets the eye.
Muller is better..... OH REALLY...take a look here then MULLER Played 32 Conceded 31 average .96 conceded STEELE Plated 8 Conceded 6 average .75 conceded thats suggests otherwise. I think Muller is superb...but we seem to have an equally good young keeper in our hands in Steele but it seems we are gonna let him slip away
the thing is if we do agree to take him on loan and pay his wages till the end of the season then sign him....he still won't be able to play for us against west brom in the final should it happen,i'm not sure if the loan window would be shut for us to get another keeper in too
I wonder if THAT is the sticking point..daft as it sounds mebbe Barnsley have insisted he is free for the final (should we both get there) and they are saying no??? mebbe?
i don't think it's so much west brom not letting him play it's the fa rules ,cos he would still be an albion player on loan to us until the summer i think!
IS that how it works then so to be totally sure we would need them to terminate his contract basically.
i,m just guessing cos you can't play against your parent club, and how i read it wba will only loan him to us till the end of the season as long as we pay his wages ,they won't susidise them any more then we have to sign him in the summer, but can we take the risk of not having a goalkeeper for the final,so do we get another one in now who isn't cup tied and can play both games if needs be,it's probably not just his wages,he may be unable to play and we would be paying him 8k a week .
think the most 'ridiculous' point here is that a player who is third choice at his club (west brom) is getting paid so much! madness! reveals a great deal about our beautiful game methinks
