Without doubt Whether Davey was the correct replacement is questionable to say the least. However we are where we are and I still think (hope) we can still get 5 more wins.
I'd go along with that if.................. PC hadn't stated the reason for his sacking was his lack of ambition and then replace him with an inferior manager. Looks a foolish statement now.
RE: need more than hope though - glad i missed yesterday by the sounds! nt So you criticise with out seeing what you are criticising about.
The "slide" started after Gordo micked up the contract crap after the Wednesday game. Up to and including Wednesday away we had put in a performance in nearly every game.
After that we have not put in one single performance.
I agree that Ritchie had to go when he did , but Gordo should have gone at the same time.

agree with every word Except maybe if the chairman had gone then the manager could have stayed. I know which i'd have preferred at oakwell now. Shepherd and Davey or Ritchie and someone else. hmm
RE: Thing is , could Ritchie have got the players performing again? nt I think he could but only if the chairman wasn't there because I believe that the main problem was the players were unsettled by the relationship (and public slanging match) between the two.
It wasnt pretty, and that is where it all started to go wrong.
Gordo seems out of his depth whenever it comes to dealing with the media , despite him appearing to enjoybeing in it so much.
