Right..... I'm going to be contraversial, maybe.

That's certainly another way to look at it

There's pros and cons. Had we continued to push for promotion to the premiership and maybe even got there again, then the facilities we built would have been exactly what was required. At the moment they look superfluous. I'm in two minds. I like the fact that we have an academy and I like Oakwell stadium. It just seems to me we probably gave more attention and more finaces to the facilities rather than the team, which should always be the main priority as any success we have is a result of the first team's achievements.

Whichever way you look at it, our season in the premiership brought us untold fortunes, but we somehow managed to blow all the money and end up in administration. Something must have gone wrong somewhere.

While we were in Admin, he was unpaid for 3 months, giving him the right to a free transfer elsewhere.
Warnock offered him a wage cheque that wouldn't bounce and Morgan did what anyone else would do.

We were asset-stripped whist at our lowest ebb and had no control over the matter.

I thought Morgan jumped ship to help lighten the Club's wage bill (him being a true red). SUFC wouldn't have paid anything knowing how desperate the club was to save cash at the time.

    Hendrie

Got rid of Fjortoft & Liddell when he didn't need to. Replaced by Dyer & Sheron. Ashley Ward chased an alledged £14k per week at Blackburn - no way could we afford that.

Bassett addressed that in his first season with Shipperley. However, post Wembley, instead of keeping Hignett, we sold him and replaced avec Alex Neil, Mitch ward et al, who combined earned what Hignett got at Blackburn apparently. Post Wembley is when it went tits up, allied to the appointment of Hendrie, are the 2 main factors imho that set us on the slippery slope to where we are now.

    Let me guess:

    8:30 - Met in Lucorum
    9:30 - Blah
10:00 - 11:30 - Various pubs, Jay steering clear of the bar
    11:30 - Lovingstones
01:00 - Jay wandering about alone
01:15 - Hartog curled up in Hollards box avec slapmonster
01:30 - TM loving the trouser press in the Travelodge whilst pretending to be Ashley Ward

    I'm right aren't I?

    It did

    ITV digital went under.
Our TV revenue, along with everyone else's dropped to zero, as did the transfer value of our squad, overnight.
Players which the day before were the club's assets became the club's liabilites at a stroke.

    Acceptable?

No. Apparently he was tired. According to the milky bum boy, he may be a twunk but at least he's honest.

Unerringly accurate. However, jay retired early cos their lass made him, and TM persuaded me to stop in Livingstones.

TM persuaded me to stop in Livingstones ...

'stop putting your hand up her dress'
'stop trying to frotter her leg'
'stop trying to claim that you are under 40'

    That kind of thing?

    Mmm.
    The LLL was tired?
Maybe he should get some beef stew down him instead of rocket & tofu salads?

Too much carrying glassback up and downstairs. Get her a Stannah or move the bed into the front room.

That was certainly a contributing factor

But was clearly not the sole reason. If it were then every other club in the country would have been as close to liquidation as we were. That was not the case. ITV digital going under affected every club, but the consequences to those clubs whose budget relied on income they hadn't got yet was far more severe. Those running atight ship sailed through the storm. Others, like us, didn't.

    Not required.

I've been lathering it into her while he's been at work.
He simply needs to sit her down & guide her around the house by the head ... she'll simply 'float' along like a snail.

    Who was out then?

    No more questions from me.

It's pretty obvious that Jay went home cos he was a gooseberry & the Hartog/TM combo were at it like a Green Day backstage party.

    You make me sick.
