RE: Oh yes there's lots of similarities there - especially the smiths this charming man nt a girl can pretend to be morrissey, well i used to nothing wrong with that is there??
North Country Boy followed by Gimme Shelter would have me prancing around like Timmy B, MINT Tell you what we did, and this is real mad, we planned the whole order by as the evening would develop For instance the first CD80 went on at 7pm as guests started to arrive, had a lot of current tunes on it and new releases, then we had a bit of a late 80's early 90's session Anyway to cut a long story short we worked out roughly that by about 10pm most people old and young would be very merry (junior beer), so we made sure we had a good hour of 'get up and dance tunes' very important that the momentum is kept up i.e Girls Aloud, Britney etc etc for younger crowd, then a good run of Motown, Soul, Beatles for oldies to have a good twist and shout to, then a few tunes that all ages knew Ended with 60mins of quieter tunes to wind it down The key zone was 9.30 - 10.30 when most people were still there and up for dancing, i'd be careful about chucking in any indie or obscure songs when uncle knobhead is in full swing We didn't think about it far too much as you can see Having said that your set looks cracking and i for one would be over the moon if all weddings had similiar taste
RE: Oh yes there's lots of similarities there - especially the smiths this charming man nt Did you have the Teddyboy quiff?
That sounds like some good planning! hopefully the DJ will play the right tunes at the right time. Just wanted to give him a good idea of what we were after. And by we I largely mean me. Its was the only bit of the wedding i have any say in!
Just to confirm the bride to be DOESN'T look like Morrisey, although... I do like the dancing with the bouquet idea!
RE: Oh yes there's lots of similarities there - especially the smiths this charming man nt No, but i waved my hands about like him and tugged at my clothing while singing along
RE: Just to confirm the bride to be DOESN'T look like Morrisey, although... If she does that please video it for us
RE: Just to confirm the bride to be DOESN'T look like Morrisey, although... Surely you'll be too pissed to care
I've been told in no uncertain terms NOT to joke about the wedding or say "the cake is unimportant" :'(
My friend Naomi has a Morrissey tatoo on her ankle, she's obsessed with him so much so that she went to Sunderland Empire to watch him and lobbed her mobile on stage in hope that he would take it and think "why not, i'll ring this chick" She's a nutter, i love the fact she thought "there's a chance he might call me" On what number i'm not sure, seen as her mobile was sat around his feet, hope it had her home number stored
