R.I.P. Meatloaf. One of the best, if not THE best, concerts I've ever seen at the NEC. About forty years ago, too. I despised his politics, but loved his performances on stage.
An absolutely epic album' one of the very few that i can listen all the way through without skipping a track' everyone of a certain age owned a copy back in the day' RIP DUDE..
I remember Bat out of Hell playing in Oliver's Ale House in Hoyland during my youth, it would be on two or three times a night. I can't listen to it any more because I've heard it that many times. Can play the rest of the album though. Steinman went recently too, think he composed the album.
Takes me back to my college days at Paton Street, Leicester, during the late seventies. I've just blasted a couple of songs from the Bat Out of Hell album at full volume, to stir the old synapses.
