Troff you can look it up as head of the MK ANC military wing he signed off on many deaths and pleaded guilty to over 150 offences, hes not the man many think but who is,sure hes done good but weigh it on both hands hes also a killer of many of his own race. Google it,
Why am I trolling all I'm doin is stating facts. He bombed ,shot ,murdered and was convicted after admitting his guilt. Check it out Mr spelling police
I'm not sure thats true as I read an article yesterday morning about it being shown in South Africa and the reaction of people leaving the cinema. Spooky timing though for the release, I'd already seen trailers and thought it looked good. RIP to a great, inspirational man. Yes, there are those that call him a terrorist and try to lump him in with the IRA. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I think you have to look at it in the light of history and what he was fighting for. To call him a terrorist but be like calling the leaders of the American or French revolutions terrorists.
Problem is that you're wrong in that he wasn't convicted and jailed for bombing, murdering and shooting people. Nor did he admit his guilt.
You aren't stating facts at all. There are huge complexities around the struggle against apartheid and the moves from non-violent protest to civil disobedience, but that aside the points you are seeking to bluntly make are inaccurate. Mandela was charged with sabotage and conspiracy to overthrow the government. He admitted the former and denied the latter. The ANC had carried out a programme of sabotage attacks on the apartheid state infrastructure, at night, when civilians would not be present, following the failure of the non-violent protest movement. That isn't what you are claiming.
Both have one thing in common - one people stealing another peoples land and the subjugation of the original inhabitants of that land. Having said that the ANC campaign was not designed to kill people, but disrupte state infrastructure - whereas the IRA campaign certainly did target innocent civilians.
Also see North American Indians slaughter by the white settlers (and latterly Americans) and the Palestine and Israel conflict - something that Mandela was very outspoken on.
HE was convicted and admitted to over 150 acts of violence which included bombings etc. Dont believe me look it up but dont tell me im wrong its easily accessable, some people have rose tinted glasses on.
Here you go i ll make it easy for you, after this your on your own Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC (African National Congress), which was a terrorist organization, and the South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilizing terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s MK terrorists. Here are some highlights -Church Street West, Pretoria, on the 20 May 1983 -Amanzimtoti Shopping complex KZN, 23 December 1985 -Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court, 17 March 1988 -Durban Pick ‘n Pay shopping complex, 1 September 1986 -Pretoria Sterland movie complex 16 April 1988 – limpet mine killed ANC terrorist M O Maponya instead -Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, 20 May 1987 -Roodepoort Standard Bank 3 June, 1988 Tellingly, not only did Mandela refuse to renounce violence, Amnesty refused to take his case stating “[the] movement recorded that it could not give the name of ‘Prisoner of Conscience’ to anyone associated with violence, even though as in ‘conventional warfare’ a degree of restraint may be exercised.” Two of the ANC’s biggest donors in the '90s were Colonel Muammar Gaddafi of Libya and President Suharto of Indonesia . Not only did Mandela refrain from criticizing their lamentable human rights records but he interceded diplomatically on their behalf, and awarded them South Africa‘s highest honor. Suharto was awarded a state visit, a 21-gun salute, and The Order of Good Hope (gold class). In April 1999 Mandela acknowledged to an audience in Johannesburg that Suharto had given the ANC a total of 60 million dollars. An initial donation of 50 million dollars had been followed up by a further 10 million. The Telegraph ( London ) reported that Gaddafi was known to have given the ANC well over ten million dollars. He wasn't taken off the US terrorist watch list until 2008 by President George W. Bush. Source(s): http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...
I haven't the words to do the great man justice. Seriously. What can you say? I'll settle for saying thank you. Sleep well, Nelson. And RIP. With a capital P.
