Have I read that right?

If Kay signs we won't be strengthening the defence? No replacement for Carbon or Vaughan? No cover at centre half?

    Utter madness.

    Thing is Tykeman

If we sold all our players, sold the ground for housing and disbanded the club, you'd still be cheering them on.

I'm all for being positive, but if you are simply unable to see when things are not right then you're nothing but a sycophant and your opinion becomes worthless.

    Oooooh, hark at me.

    Sorry

Yay! No cover in defence. Just what we need. Hurrah.

    Better?

FAO Andy Ritchie: We are still talking with Stephen Foster .................

and that could depend on what Antony does. If he signs then we will have to decide whether we need to strengthen that area of the team but we are still talking.

Andy, the answer is Yes, we do need to strengthen. Not a difficult one that.

    A question of interpretation.

most of what is said on here is based upon interpretation, conjecture and plain downright guesswork. My posting is based upon what has gone before me and the habitual remarks that come from out of this club. Are you unable to see that there is a pattern begining to emerge which under some circumstances are best described as the " broken record syndrom?" Perhaps you need to look at the wider picture. I am the first to admit that we have no monies in which to go out and buy decent players. But,I feel that we have been given the wrong messages by signifiant others who allegedly proclaim that money might be avalable for box office type players to be signed(unquote) and then in the next breath, wham bam,Ritchie makes these comments. What do you expect in relation to interpretation? I don't think my posting was "tosh" I think that it was from a concerned fan who wants to believe in his club and to see us do well. I would ask you not to be agressive but instead provide a basis for an informed arguement and a response with an element of maturation attached.

    Not at all Jay.

Yes I am generally optimistic, it just annoys me when people are critical of the situation at our club without knowing what is happening behind the scenes.

That Foster's been offered a deal, he's dallying and Ritchie's saying fair do's, we may not need you anyway. Foster either signs or chalks fvck on it hence we can move on.

That may be me being nothing more than a sycophant to Ritchie, rendering my opinion null & void, but it's a chance I'm willing to take.

So, are you saying then that you know more than anyone else or have access to insider info?

    Not getting at you.

We all know summat and nowt and some things are better kept within.

If I posted every single 'Gospel truth' that is PM'd to me, emailed to me, posted to me, the whole of Barnsley FC would have come tumbling down with the lies and innuendo and I would have been sued from the rooftops!

It's all a bit of fun and banter but you do seem to take it so seriously. When it comes down to it we are on this Board because we are all massive Barnsley fans and we all respond in different ways to what we read on here.
