    Now there's a surprise!

This is fast becoming "Situation Normal" Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to the reason why?(chinny)

i suppose if we are trying to get someone who will improve the team leaving it until deadline day might not be the best policy.

RE: You pretty much said its pointless trying.

"What self respecting manager is going to send out potential Premiership or Championship players, to be coached by an as yet unproven manager and a bunch of physios."

Thus suggesting that if we're so disorganised and nobody in their right mind would give us players (except Jose Mourinho of course), then whats the point in us even trying?

    Uhm..

Maybe because teams don't want to let players go that would weaken their squad over a busy period?

I know I'd be annoyed if we let any of our squad players go now, so why should other teams?

    What I really said is..

.. that I am not convinced that our "Manager" and his coaching staff are good enough either to persuade the bigger clubs to allow their fringe players to come here for additional experience or to be able to get the best performances out of talented players whatever level of football they are from and that includes some of the players that are already here. Is that clear enough for you!
You are right about one thing though. I will not be satisfied until they start performing to the level that I think they are capable of, whether they are 6th in the league or 1st doesn't really matter.

yeh good point. so as i say deadline day is a bad time. because if anyone let someone go, and then perhaps had someone else injured would have no time to get anyone in themselves. I wonder if he is looking for a striker or considering now extending the watt deal as cover for defence.
