One successful story of a player being signed by us, loaned out to a lower league club and comes back to make themselves a first team regular. If we tried we could probably name 100 players we have signed, loaned out to a lower league club and never established themselves with us.
I'd very much like it to work out for him and for him to be a success here. I've not seen enough to know if he has a decent basis to do that or not. But it saves us having to find someone else at additional cost, plus the potential loss on Ritzmaiers fee.
Have we actually loaned out 100 players in our history? Let alone ones we've signed and to lower clubs?
I've got a good feeling about Palmer this year. I don't think Val's style suited him . He's obviously a ball player and with that little bit of extra time I'm hoping he ll shine. Unfortunately Ritzy didn't show anything at all to give me any optimism.
Mowatt was abit diffrent we knew he had the ability just needed a hand round his shoulder abit of man management and playing in the right position.
Thanks. Big season for kane him palmer and styles will be fighting for the central midfield spots. Maybe another addition aswell.
Get the impression in the Chronicle. He doesn’t fit in with the managers plans. ( needs to up his game on present showing to alter the managers mind) And would be better off elsewhere, to get regular 1st team football. TBH he was given a fair crack of the whip by Struber and failed to impress me. When others were chomping at the bit. Especially Styles. Given his age. He’s not one to develop and take a risk on.
I want every player to be great whenever they play for us. If The Ritz gets a chance to play, then every game he gets treated by me according to how he performs. I think I tended to pick on him cos irrespective of how he did, he used to still get a game. Which isn't right.
Leave it to the Head Coach, but non of my hopes for the new season are hanging on Ritzmaier. If he get's picked & plays well, fair enough. Mowatt was poor at first, till he was loaned out. Who knows?
He had one very good game imho. I don’t want the guy to fail if he’s still here. But way I read the Chronicle. He’ll only still be here. if we don’t get anyone else in. And then, may just be a bench warmer. He won’t settle for that. The manager believes.
Someone on another thread said George Miller is stealing a living well from what I've seen of Mr ritzmaier who said to be one of the big earners I cant say I was impressed. Reminded me of when you played for a under 10s team as a young en and coach would always start his kid no matter how poor he was. That was how struber was with ritzy were they related?
I think the big problem is he’s probably one of our biggest earners. Him & Solbauer were the two Struber went for as soon we got to January. He’s not some young kid on low wages who you can keep around as a squad player. Unless he’s going to be first choice he needs to go.
Ritzmaier already getting slated on twitter, just for having the cheek to be selected by the manager. I hope he's not on there or we might as well not even bother. Can't work out why people slate their own players so readily on there. Would you walk up to him on the street and tell him you think he's ****? If not, don't do it on twitter where there's a decent chance he will see it. It's the same on here as well. I know for a fact that players read the BBS. It's ridiculous the way some talk on here. If you were in his position, you're hardly in the best place to perform to the best of your ability when the people who are supposed to be supporting you are treating you like that. It's embarrassing and yet another example of our pathetic fans making sure this club will never be able to progress.
It’s sad to see. He wasn’t even that bad. I don’t think he should have been starting but he was part of a successful team in a new country. There’s been far worse to represent our club. To me the frustration was that he was playing in a position that Mowatt had been outstanding in before Ritzmaier joined. I didn’t look at Ritzmaier & think he was out of his depth or anything like that.
