Rob Knowles Programme Notes

He does get far too much stick on here

If people have a problem with his work write to the club, or stop reading the official website and programme. Once they realise nobody is reading the website and programme the powers that be will start asking questions. Coming on here and writing personal stuff about the man will do nothing but cause trouble and have comments written like in last nights programme.

 

Wasn't me that called him a 'retard', however I did make a joke about him being 'barely literate'.

we have a very skeleton staff - cost cutting measures a la BMBC mean the remaining people have to take on the workload of 2 or 3 staff

I am not going to knock the guy for

answering his critics but what I dont see is why Editors notes of any kind are needed at all, after all its not "The Spectator" or the like. His job should be efficient publishing of the programme, pulling content, photographs reviews and reports together and the proof reading the thing BEFORE it goes to print.

He didn't really answer his critics though. Not to mention that it's poorly written and has factual innaccuracies in it.

I stand by what I said, it's not that bad getting pillocked by Rob Knowles.

 

Rob Knowles

Has an extremely unhealthy view on fans and their comments. He manipulates, and puts spin on things to try and belittle fans.

In my opinion he is extremely unprofessional and has tarnished the relationship between fans and the club.

In other words, he's in the wrong job. Get someone in who cares for the fans, someone who can create a closer club/fans relationship and someone who understands the needs of everyone associated with the Club.

State it was the BBS that said that about him, might be that one that Young Nudger jumped ship to, it does not say, so how can you all just guess it was here? Talk about self importance (doh)

I mean seriously i want to read about BFC players and the managers view, maybe the chairman on where the club is going. Info on the away team, match reports, football storys, i really dont want to read what Rob Knowels has to say. So i make my choice and i dont read it.</p>

I avoid our website too, Check sky sports, bbc sport for tranfer news and the oppo's web site for team news</p>

 

Partly what Paul D states in his post regarding staffing and partly with my trawling of other clubs forums I have yet to come accross posts slagging the programme editor off to the degree it occurs on here.

Why do people think that when someone character is ripped to shreds on here they should have no right to reply anywhere other than on here.

It always make me laugh when fans on the terrace spend 90 minutes verbally abusing an individual player, and if the said player flicks 2 fingers at them or puts his finger to his lips when they go silent after his team have scored, someone always feels outraged enough to report it to the police. Pathetic

If you can't take it don't dish it :'( :'(

 

He also accused him of "maing basic errors" (sic)

Which I'm sure even he'll admit is quite funny.

No he didn't, he merely repeated what kazziekitty had said earlier in the thread.
As someone who has berated Rob Knowles performance regularly, I'd have thought you would have atleast proof read that thread before posting ******, you're obviously eminently qualified to do his job.

If Dreamboy refuses to meet Rob Knowles can you ban him from here the next time he makes any comment about him, the programme, the website etc. He's really boring me. 3 day ban should do the trick
