Why do you think you'll get much from that lot? Your recent run you've beaten Scunny, Notts County & Yeovil..
How wonderful to have a reasonable non-abusive well thought out poster with something positive to add.
And before that we've beaten Preston,Swindon,Bradford and Chesterfield? What will be will be, just enjoying a cracking season to be honest .
Well over two years since he left, yet still Hill stirs such emotion. You do realise that's exactly what he likes? Accept his annoyances as a bloke, there are plenty, admit his ability as a lower league manager - he's about as good as there has been in the bottom two divisions.
I'm not sure that it matters whether he likes to stir emotions. Anyway if that is the case, he would be better turning his "likes" towards trying to prove that he can manage a team in the next division up. Otherwise he's unremarkable.
His interview is golden. https://audioboom.com/boos/3033592-...ent=card&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Bloke could get into an argument in an empty room. He didn't engage during the week building up to our encounter at Spotland, he sent his assistant out there instead. Then bellyached after the game. I wonder if he'll engage in early May? LJ will trigger him to death on the grass.
I didn't come up with any statistic. They are what they are. 25.33% win ratio, 54.67% lose ratio. Feel free to correct me, or show me stats from another manager that are worse
based on his stats alone, i don't see how you can disagree to be honest. add to that, his ability to be a complete lovely person towards the club and the fans. yes. worse than all those, hands down. but just my opinion..
Oh, but he's done such a good job with Rochdale, and he's funny, and he wears an interesting jacket, and etc. Apparently that makes his time with us not an unmitigated disaster, and makes the man himself not an odious lovely person. And apparently those statistics about him being the worst manager ever are just invented. So there. He's a great manager, didn't deserve to be sacked, and we were top of the league when it happened.
I still cant believe theres an absolute Hill fest on here with some fans, its like he never did anything wrong
Its like he never did anything right, which is the issue for me. Whatever you think of him there were lots of positive times from his tenure. Check back on here to see how he was thought of January 2012 and October 2012. And he had a different hand dealt to those before and after him. I'd rather we spent the energy though asking how Rochdale's board have created an environment for Hill to be successful where we didn't, and see how we can apply that to our current and future managers. Because we all want BFC to punch above our weight like Rochdale are now.
His attitude us the reason he will never manage a club larger than Rochdale again. He can't perform under pressure.
I wouldn't say this thread was a Hill fest, someone's stated that Rochdale are now in 6th, the position we are hoping to achieve. If Fleetwood had just moved Into it there would have been a similar thread.
I hate it when people say that. The circumstances would have been a lot different had Portsmouth not spent as much as they had and got themselves into the mess they were in. Had they not spent so much and not got themselves into relegation, they could have been relegated by Christmas for all we know.
Good luck to Rochdale. Don't like Keith but you can't deny he's done a phenomenal job, both times he's been at Rochdale. I'm all for a small club punching above their weight. I'll be disappointed if they make the playoffs at our expense but that would just mean, over the course of the season, they've deserved it more. I'll just turn the sound down on the FL show when Keiths talking.
