it's an animated gif Not sure but I think it's just a case of finding one you like, right clicking and saving it. I think my friend stole it from a message board if I'm honest. Don't know how you make them from scratch.
Cheap Option.. I was disappointed when he was appointed because I thought he was the "Cheap Option". I still think he was the cheap option. I haven't changed my opinion. How many of you will change yours, if as is possible, the luck that we have had in recent weeks changes and we go 9 or 10 games without winning a point. We can be that bad and if you're honest you know that that is true. My opinion of Ritchie will still be the same, whatever happens. Even if we gain automatic promotion, I will still think that he was appointed because it was the easiest and cheapest way out for the Board. That doesn't mean that I won't be happy when ever we win or whatever we win it just means that I will be realistic, which is something that lots of people on this board seem to have a difficulty with.
Never wanted him sacked, but Didn't want him in the first place. I thought he was the wrong choice. It became apparent months ago that I was wrong.
Hardly months ago when it was obvious 8 weeks ago we lost 5-2 to Donny in the LDV At this point there was massive unrest on this board and it's only since then we've put together a decent run and people have started to leave the bloke alone.
From what I can gather so far most people were concerned that he was the 'cheap option'. That's the maddest thing I've ever heard. If you judge everything by how much it costs, Hristov would be our best player. You can keep your expensive mistakes, we've made enough of those. Danny Wilson was the cheap option. Buy low, sell high in my book. Too many Barnsley fans have champagne taste on beer money.
RE: Cheap Option.. How do you know he was the cheap option? Have you seen his contract and that of every other manager in the 1st Division? The appointment of AR brought continuity, team spirit and some better players, ie Howard, Devaney and Hayes. If you made a mistake be brave enough to admit it.
I am just happy we dumped Hart , who was well on the way to getting us relegated. I would have taken a dog turd as manager over that idiot.
What a load of absolute **** You ask people to be honest about how they feel, but when they do you have a dig at them. Nice work.
What's so mad about it? The fans were wanting a guy with a proven managerial CV, but we got a guy with a poor win record but who happened to already be at the club? Whichever way you want to shape it, that sounds like the cheap option to me. We got lucky with Wilson. Doesn't mean it'll happen again.
I was underwelmed when he was appointed, nothing has made me any more enthusiastic, even this fine run we are on. Don't ask me why, just not into it anymore but cannot explain why? Been a season ticket holder for 27 years BTW & never felt this way, even under Machin!!!:S
I didn't actually have a go at anyone I just said people need to be more realistic about what we can afford and that I thought the idea that expensive = good was a mad point of view. Just a point of view ...
Do I have to spell it out? He's got a poor managerial record, but he happened to be at the club. Now, if that cost us more than looking for a proven manager with an attractive CV, I'm happy to be proved wrong. I'd also laugh the board out of a job. I'm happy the guy's doing well. He's a genuine top bloke and looks to be getting some good performances, but let's not pretend we all saw it coming.
Me absolutely proved wrong, so far. hold my hand up and say that thought we'd made the wrong appointment, but who was to predict him turning the worst defence into the best defence in the League. good on him.
disappointed in his appointment at the time and the board's handling of it. "oooh.............no we mean 2 years" etc I think what you have to consider is how much the fans have been let down over the years and blame cannot really be apportioned to any one person, it just continued to be perpetual disappointment, after expectations had been raised. Richie's appointment was not seen as the end to years of poor leadership (not just management) and so many people reacted negatively. I think it's also going to take years for the fans to regain faith and again that's not generally aimed at Richie, it's within the club on a whole. Fans will remain dispondant whilst BFC fail to recognise that you can't win trust overnight after years of unrest and alienating them further is not the solution. Richie is a major part of the jigsaw that seems to be in place, sadly BFC are still tinkering with the edges and I don't think the pieces are even facing the right way and the sky is at the bottom.
Donny at home in LDV Was a ******* disgrace. Maybe it was part of a learning curve. Hope we never have to witness that again. Are we seeing who's the best fan here then ? However, see what happens if we fail to win in say, 5 games.
I never wanted him in. I thought he was a poor appointment. It seemed to lack ambition ... and with all the facts to hand at the time I stick by my opinion. On the other hand - I hope he proves all his doubters wrong & makes me look even more of a tit than I already am. And if he doesn't - then does it matter? Football is **** anyway.
