Right, you have no confidence in someone since close season because he didn't sign players. So you stand in his way when another club wants to talk to him knowing you were giving him 3 weeks to turn things round? You'd do that as a Chairman wouldn't you? ffs.
Go down without a fight? Did you see the game on Friday? They look really up for a fight don't they, especially the local boy Kay?

wasnt kell signed by the chairman? I do believe that is what was posted on here several times by the chairman's biggest fan
RE: Right, you have no confidence in someone since close There is another alternative here. Maybe wensdi were never serious and it was a smokescreen while they spoke to Laws? Just an idea, probably B*ll*cks but you never know.
No doubt the truth would contain more than a few paragraphs. However AR was under contract to BFC and as such GS was absolutely correct in denying permission for the piggies to speak to him regardless. No doubt had we granted them permission to talk there would have been uproar from the same moaners who are still moaning. I reckon for what its worth that he had no chance of getting the job it was just a bit of a ruse to unsettle a relegation rival and confuse people as to who the real targets were.
RE: Right, you have no confidence in someone since close Well if you had been Dave Allen who would you have picked between Laws and Ritchie if you just had their CVs to go on?

Allen had seemed impressed by our performance at Swillsboro. Team built on a shoestring playing his big club off the park and all that. Long time ago now though.
Brian Laws? Sacked by Grimsby? 3 promotions and 2 relegations? Sacked by Scnuthorpe in between? Once laid into his best player and drove him out of the club? That Brian Laws? Spent his managerial careeryoyoing between League 2 and League 1, that Brian Laws? Wets himself in public? That Brian Laws? No contest, eh?

Laws admitted to urinating uncontrollably when walking out onto the pitch for Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup final on Sky TV's Soccer AM.

I would have thought that if I thought somebody was so **** at their job and too stubborn to sign new players that you would love to see them managing a local rival
He'll be gony the end of the season if they keep their form up. 5 losses in a row!
Hello relegation fight!

Absolutely unbelievable…………….. Absolutely unbelievable……………..how so called supporters can use almost any bit of news to revert back to “lets criticise the board” and while we’re at it anyone else in authority at BFC. I’ll bet the Chairman and Club Benefactor can’t wait to get on the here to get advice on how the club should be run from people who couldn’t run a bath….never mind a business.
Ritchie wasn't given the backing of the board. Why did we lose out on Johnson (To Bradford) Foster (To Burley). The board forced the situation that Ritchie found himself in.They should hang their heads in shame.
yawny yawn from yawnersville onastick
If we would have signed johnson the club would have been berated by the fans. As it happened the player probably chose to go to bradford as he would have more chance of first team football.
Foster wanted to be in the Northwest for personal reasons and its perfectly reasonable to conclude that an established championship side, with bigger gates andwho had not recently almost gone to the wall could afford much greater wages than us in any case.

are you on smack? "not given the backing of the board" "andy - here's some money to buy some players" "andy - here's some money to buy some players" "andy - here's some money to buy some players" etc etc
Ronnie fecking branson...................Any relation to richard He could donate a few quid to the coffers
Good appointment, this....
He's been on the staff part-time for a few years. He now quits hisposition as a college teacher to do the academy job full-time.
I've met him. He's good man. He's sharp in the headand cares about the wellbeing of the boys. He is very positive, committedand he smiles a lot.
Local man who cares, promoted from within. Nice one Dave Hancock and Gordon Shepherd.

C'mon Johnny, where's your comments on Laws record? Promotion, relegation, promotion, relegation, promotion, is that what you consider makes a good manager? One thing he was given at Scnuthorpe was time though, wasn't it. Kepton after relegation, twice, even though he'd arrived withthe baggage of smackinghis star player during a team talk too.Is that what you consider a good CV?
You've gone very quiet on this all of a sudden.
