A fitting tribute to my all time favourite player Can you hear the Ponty roaring, RONNIE is our king.
Agree fully. Excellent video but I had my speakers turned up to hear the faint commentary & nearly jumped out of my skin when The White Stripes started!
What a player What a player What a player Surely the most gifted and exciting footballer we've had in the last 50 years. Great video - well done Turvey! I was hoping the goal he scored at swillsboro (can't remember exactly when but remember being amongst 10,000 delierious reds fans in the Leppings lane end when it went in in front of us) would be on it but no matter - what a player. There's only one Ronnie Glavin!
4th April 1983 My first away League game (my first away match was same season at Cambridge in FA Cup), remember it well, stood high in the corner at Leppings Lane, the best view I've probably had at an away match, Glavin was on the bench and we were wanting him on for ages - finally brought on with only about 10 mins left and the general feeling was "why's he left it til now, it's too late for him to do anything", how wrong we were when he broke through and scored the winner!
Absolutely fantastic stuff, eternally grateful BRF, you're doing a fine job. Got me all misty eyed...hairs stuck up on the back of the neck !!! 78 - 82 was a great era to be a Reds fan, cannot ever see it ever being better. Ah..the memories.
RE: 4th April 1983 That's the one - thanks mate. I remember it well and agree with everything you say except ..........10 minutes was more than enough time!!!!! Been part of some fantastic goal celebrations as a Reds fan but not many better than that one!
RE: A fitting tribute to my all time favourite player Could not have done it without you mate - can't thank you enough! (worship)

I was stood in the same area You could sense the panic in the Wednesday fans when Glavin started warming up down the touchline . This transfered to the players when he came onto the pitch . Everyone with a blue & white connection was **** scared of him and Ronnie showed that fear to be well justified .
