    Of course I want to see us in the premiership however unlikely it is, but this is about what I think about Conor. He was brilliant last season and didn't get an international call up. Our form early season was fantastic and he got a call up but cut. Since then he got called up again but our dramatic loss of form probably played a part in him yet again being cut, as well as a drop in his own form with goals and assists drying up since the early months of the season.

    There is bound to become a time very soon where a bigger club offer him more money at a team he'd have a much better chance of representing his country at. He will want to play with the best possible players so us not spending in our means meaning we are constantly weakening our own squad to balance the books and hoping a cheap lower league replacement can get to the same level probably annoys him.

    I'm saying our level of ambition will be harder to reach for him staying with us than going to one of the bigger clubs that will offer him a massive payrise to join them. It's human nature seeing your best players sold is going to make some question staying.

    Perhaps your point is that bfc are a selling club. And Hourihane may get paid better elsewhere. And then any other ones with ideas that they are better than bfc will naff off an all.

    In which case that is probably true.

    I'm not sure if we've paid that much yet... Maybe the deals are worth that with add ons included which I suspect none have triggered yet. I might be wrong but I can't see us paying that kind of money out in one go....

    To be fair. These 3 signings were almost universally approved and welcome signings.

    It's a lot of money agree and at least 1 of them (bradshaw) indications are that he will come good and get a run in the team at some point and has looked good when played.

    The other 2 are questionable.

    We haven't really seen moncur and Cole k hasn't played in what is seen in his natural position.

    So we may not have wasted it per se (yet)
