surely they should downgrade to 2nd class. we had similar with wedding invites because of the thickness of the envelope.
Re: Whitey. I work for the Royal Mail actually. recorded doesn't guarantee nowt. I have been waiting 2 weeks for a recorded delivery to be delivered and its gone awol. Useless. The tracking number they ave me isn't even linked to a parcel. even more useless.
What a strange thing to say. Are you so rich that a couple of hundred quid profit in a couple of weeks for doing naff all isn't worth the bother? I bought some and sold them on for a decent profit a few weeks later.
Re: Whitey. I work for the Royal Mail actually. Tell me about tracking numbers... I posted a package a few months ago and the track online option was a right laugh. Firstly the parcel took over two weeks to be delivered (quality service when I paid for first class), then the tracking number turned out to be linked to a parcel bound for Maidstone when my package was sent to Berwick.
Re: Whitey. I work for the Royal Mail actually. recorded mail is just lobbed in and sorted with normal mail, only really good for items of a low value if a claims needed
Do they still give compo out in stamps when a claim is made for undelivered recorded mail? That's what I was told to claim a few years ago - but why would I want stamps when if recorded mail didn't get there what good would normal first class be? Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
Thats privatization for you. The Royal Mail is a service, like the utility and transport, and should be government owned and operated at a price to break-even after paying for any needed investment in the service. All that competition does is increase cost to customers and increase confusion.
maybe so, but since there have been a few bans for nowt more than a few swearies and a bit of name calling.
