Course I do , Once a Collier always a Collier . Just don’t get to games nowadays (since the miners strike tbh) Just have t been as interested in the sport as I used to be especially since the greed league . Might make a comeback now I’m retired though be good to see the old place again .
Good job lol ,yeah this season we look to have a cracking team and although haven't played well yet still won. Once we have a settled and regular team we should ( all being well) do well. Yeah get yersen down to a game or two we need more supporters there for definite,
Ah well it looks like I’ve made a good choice of team to follow. Tigers won handsomely 21-12 Apparently the appearance of a lucky mascot might have helped. I’ve not a clue who the hell she is.
They played well enough to win and deserved it but as usual Warrington not very good, but you can only beat what's in front of you.
Great win today Ian. Played them off the Park in truth. Don’t be fooled, the enemy is Leeds - just like it is in Football. Should be a cracker on Friday.
I have just watched the Rugby League program on BBC2. Good stuff with all the highlights shown with no messing about. And what I was very impressed with was the grounds. All looked excellent venues. Some football grounds could take note of what is on offer. Watching this highlights program will be a weekly habit for me. Good entertainment.
Nooo Ian. Many of the grounds are indetikit minor football grounds but with some allowance for standing. The reason I mention it here is, when you have the honour of attending Wheldon Road it will be 'a ground like no other'!! Imagine Tannadice in 1952!
Sounds idyllic but unfortunately I was never around in 52 to enjoy the delights of Tannadice then. Of course Weldon Road might remind me of Dens Park where some parts have never changed since 1952.
I was at the game v St. Helens with the record crowd. The most exciting live sports game I have ever witnessed. Incredible atmosphere and you could not move. Kids passed over people's heads to the front, so they could see. 20-6 win for Rovers with Cyril Woolford sprinting in for the clinching try at the far end. Next time the two teams met, there was a twenty-four man brawl, which involved every player apart from Cyril Woolford and Tom Van Vollenhoven, who shook hands and went off the pitch until it had all calmed down. Happy days! Oh! And Colonel Bogie playing as the team came on to the pitch.
