    He did his cruciate early on last season and had the op, but he was back training with Scunny in the summer looking to win a contract. Dunno if he had a set back with the injury or maybe even suffered another or Robins just didn't fancy him, but they didn't take him on and he didn't sign for anyone else. Maybe he's here looking to win a contract, maybe it's as you've said and he's just trying to get back to fitness. If it's the latter, good on us for helping him out. Although it may turn out that a 33 year old Rory Fallon, who has played very little football for the last couple of years and is recovering from a serious knee injury, is considerably better than the players we actually signed.

    It weren't started as a joke on Twitter, myself and bostonwayne saw him at training last Friday. He's just using the club facilities to get fit after knee injury. I tweeted weststandbogs that he were at training.

    I've got fond memories of Rory Fallon - when he came back to Oakwell and went to the wrong bench when subbed off, when he got booked at Swindon for gesturing at the Tarn fans after 60 minutes of sarcastic "Rory, Rory, ra ra ra" chants.

    Sadly my memories of his time with us are much less fond.

    Although he was the focal point of our attack in that good run under Gudjon before we flogged him. And he scored that over head kick for Swansea in the Play Off final. And he's played at a World Cup.

    To be fair to Rory he improved a great deal after leaving Barnsley.

    Slapped on a load of muscle and became a decent lower league target man.
