I've a friend who's wife is an NHS physio on a band 7. Wider manager role could bump this to an 8a.

I love this about the MLS. Putting aside the home grown players, you can have your standard League One bruisers going up against the likes of Messi. How on earth are you supposed to ref that?

I always thought Woodrow would do well in MLS. Not sure why - it just feels like it would suit him.

 

So a while new physio team? Seems like we're always advertising for an academy physio Maybe pay needs to be improved?

 

By now I'd imagine she'd be band 7 so £42,000 ish,, but extra with being on call . However, she would work less hours in the NHS and have less weekend work . Better pension too no doubt. Probably have too big a caseload though!

 

She's doing well then, I worked in the payroll team in the NHS when we moved everyone over from the old scales to the current bandings about 15 years ago - most went onto band 5, some were reassessed and put to 6 but they were senior positions. I remember the old registered nurses being assimilated to 5 and they were the same pay as physios. I'm not commenting on whether their pays fair or not, I've worked in 7 different payroll offices and seen a wide range of salaries so probably more in the know than most on here.

 

My wife is a band 7 clinical lead physio and that is pretty much what she is on.

 

I find it a bit disappointing that Huddersfield are able to pay their second in command physio more than we can pay our head physio (at least i'm assuming that's the position she'll be taking and it'd be for a tad more cash).

Realise they are in a higher division but they don't have a pot to piss in either at the moment.

 

If there was a league on splitting hairs you'd win it.

 

But not having a pot to piss in and wages paid have never had any relationship in modern football.

True for squad players but wouldn't have thought so much for backroom staff.
