Interesting rumour to come out of nowhere. Zero chat on Twitter about this, but a towering defender/midfielder who played a handful of games for Wolves before joining Brugge and not playing at all. Capped by the USA once so would make the Visa possible (I think). Like I say though, not much chit chat around to make this valid yet.
Nothing about us but an AEK fans site is calling him the 'ball winning midfielder' a lot of us have said we need. Be nice if it was one who was way ahead of me in the professional games played column.

This is the issue I have with the rumours to emerge today. Just more midfielders under 23 with less than 50 games to their name, might even be less than 20. Are they really going to be any better than what we have?
No idea but I'm in total agreement. I do think though, given our position, that the type of player we needed and would have been able to attract in the Summer, is a lot more difficult in January. I get the clamour and frustration around how late we're leaving it. But we're not alone. Spurs promised Conte the world and have only started to deliver in the last 48 hours. Burnley are bottom of the Premier League, sold their star striker, and only just replaced him today. January is not the month to be fixing major issues with your squad - plugging gaps/small improvements yes. That's why all roads lead back to how we operated over the Summer.
Definitely, and there might be more money to do anything now, if Khaled wasn't in a position of desperately hoping that Conway had kept the receipt for Oulare.
If you separate off the field issues and concerns from what has happened on the pitch. Every single conversation leads back to how we were run this Summer, or how we prepared for this Summer. When we've had a stable tandem of CEO/Manager we've tended to flex from the strategy slightly and seen an upturn in performances on the pitch.
Didn’t khaled say to you in that interview hat they had another American lined up? Or did he mean sponsor?
I fully agree that the common point was the poor period pre-season. Its worrying that we were so fickle and had weak 'business' continuity. I dont know what decisions were taken to mitigate certain departures through what was only a short period of time, but this has clearly disadvantaged us in a major way on the field and if we take the infrastructure and safety, ticketing etc off the field too
Aside from the 750k / ownership dispute issues, this is the biggest frustration I have with how the club is run. It always used to be that the relationship between the manager and chairman was critical. Now it's the relationship between the head coach and director of football or CEO. These owners are on their third CEO and 7th head coach. They've not been here 5 years yet, there needs to be more stability. No doubt Khaled is on a fixed term contract as well, and we'll find ourselves in a similar position in a year or two.
