https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/april/safety-notice/ Aye alright, cos BFC have been forthcoming at handing out banning orders in the past...
Wonder how many away fans have recived bans in the past few years must have been 50 Bolton fans on the pitch when they thought they had won last year about 2 got took out.
I think it’s a silly ritual to go on the pitch at the end of the season and I personally disagree with it. However the children who do it are not scum or evil or whatever some will have you think. They aren’t even old enough to vote for parties that support illegal invasions of other countries and therefor invite terrorists to become active on these shores and blow their school friends up at concerts. So before people hang the youth of Barnsley for walking on some grass please take a minute to look at the governments you have blindly voted in and accept some responsibility.
I usually agree with most of what you write Tiler but that would mean that virtually every vote anyone has ever cast would have to be revoked because I can't think of any government in my lifetime that hasn't been responsible for some seriously poor and damaging decisions. There's nothing anything can do about that, you make the best choice you feel is open to you. As for kids, and more to the point, their parents who go on the pitch when told not to.....it's a pretty simple question.
Bit ridiculous this. For a start your point might carry some clout if every person who runs on the pitch at the end of every season is under 18. They aren’t - and won’t be today. (Lets be honest, it will happen). In fact it’s a hard push to suggest they are all particularly young. Furthermore, what on earth have previous or current governments, their poor decisions on war, or your perception that they have ‘invited terrorists ... on to these shores’ got to do with football fans choosing to break the law, and stop other fans have the opportunity to thank the players and staff for what has been a brilliant season no matter what happens in today’s game? Who has called them ‘scum’ or ‘evil’? I don’t think any are scum, nor are they evil. Well, not for going on the pitch anyway, I don’t know any of them to judge otherwise. I do however think they are a bit dim - or at least act in this case in a completely stupid manner - and are very selfish. Their need to look like Tommy ten-men running on to the pitch, and trying to scrounge bits of kit in some cases, obviously outdoes the rights of the thousands of other men women and kids who have supported the team, often week in week out, to give thanks to the players, and receive it back from the players and staff too. I understood 1997, that was a once in a lifetime achievement for many, maybe all of us. There haven’t been so many occasions since where it has been justified. Maybe 2002 felt justified at the time. But any others? We might need to use the pitch again in a couple of weeks - so what justification is there to trample all over it today? I sincerely hope folk listen and stay off today. I’m not holding my breath.
Well as usual our idiots didn't miss the chance to step up. Personally wish we could give everyone who just thinks it's ok to go for a stroll on the pitch a ban from oakwell for a couple of years. It's just embarrassing.
Kids will be kids. It's the adults I'm embarrassed for. That dick who walked back to the Ponty at the end of the invasion. Enough said. Mind you the return of the players was an anticlimax with the rolling steward line and all that. Sometimes celebrations should be spontaneous. Did I say celebrations? We must remember it's not done yet!
The pitch invasion thing does my head in. All it does is deprive fans and players of a celebration of the result. At an ordinary game, the players get round the pitch at the end, thank the fans, there's some singing, then we all go home. Last game of the season we have the farce of some numpties who go on the pitch, our players have to go off, and by the time they are back half of the crowd has gone home. Total anticlimax. The one day we actually have something to celebrate. I really wish they'd take stronger action. Spoils the occasion every time.
Embarrassing and frustrating again. Half of the pricks who ran on the pitch left the ground by the West stand before the players came out. And as for the adults who went on, once again they just looked like selfish, immature dicks.
Regardless of their age every single person should get a ban of some sort or fined. Our players don't help matters though signing autographs and letting the pitch invaders have a selfie or giving away something match worn. All that does is encourage more people to do what they are asked not to.
I hate it. We won an absolute must win gain, when the whistle went there should have been cheering, singing, clapping etc. Instead we got a 'Yay.... BOOOOOOOO!' That's not a way to celebrate a season of being unbeaten at home and potentially promotion.
Dogs kept us back in the seventies got a hole in me arse to show for them think it was Bradford City game
I think we should all do the conga on the pitch singing ring of fire on the centre circle then Mexican wave from the miserable sods in stands. Would be a great touch x
