18 million for woss FFS signed a three year contract worth 6 million a year, for what? The BBC will be crying come Christmas that the television licences will have to go up once again to sustain the excellent programms it puts out. The world as gone mad, and Woss is laughing all the way to the bank. (N)
RE: Oh, what they did was fine then eh? get a fecking grip..... I should imagine the cash from the newspaper interviews is easing the pain. And while I can imagine how the family feel I don't feel the urge to complain to the BBC on their behalf. Let them sort it out themselves.
RE: Do you think it's an overreaction? It was the Daily Mail who brought it to his attention. They played him the tapes.
Listened to it fully when the podcast was first on itunes Thought it went over the line a bit, and felt sorry for Sachs, but it was still quite funny (sorry about that, I realize now I should have been appalled). Like I said, apology is due, but that should be that. A lot of opinions seem to be based more on the fact that some people generally don't like Ross and Brand, and that they get paid too much. That is surely a different question.
Apparently Brand & Ross rang him & when his answer machine message had played they cut the line. Someone was saying earlier this morning that no message was probably left.
its the bit about sexually abusing him what they should be facing the chop for rather than the shagging the grand daughter bit.
RE: can't he work his answering machine? Sachs' agent Meg Pool is alerted to the contents of the broadcast when a journalist for the Mail of Sunday phones her for a comment. She and Sachs listen to an online recording of the show which leaves the actor "offended very much indeed".
oh and two channels that hardly get watched. constant repeats. god knows how many radio stations and a website that looks like the son of rob knowles has been working on on given some of the mistakes.
RE: Ok It's in today's Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...unacceptable-prank-caused-severe-offence.html
and chris moyles. forgot about that fat unfunny waste of space leeds Barsteward. how many listeners have left radio one and a week in LA what a waste of my fecking money.
RE: The whole thing has been such a ridiculous overreaction....
Agreed, I have a PhD and stillfind him funny, but strangely I don't watch any soaps.

So? He was alerted to it before he actually picked up the messages. There's no reason why he wouldn't have listened to the messages on his own at a later time. That doesn't excuse it at all as far as I'm concerned. In this day and age we're all up for pillock in the various different forms of media. Call me what you want on here, I'm sure I deserve it, but if you start ringing me up to give me abuse then you've crossed a line and the majority would think you're a bit of a psycho. The same goes for these two. If they want to pillock an elderly gentleman on their radio show then good luck to them, I'm sure they feel very good about themselves, but to ring the bloke up and leave messages on his phone is miles past the line. It shouldn't happen when they're being paid using licence payers money and I see no reason why they should still be in a job. To be honest, they're lucky they are not being contacted by the police for making nuisance telephone calls.
