I really like Russell Brand. His stand up routines are very good. I have read both his books too and thoroughly enjoyed them.

"Barack Obama, interestingly, said in his statement that she had "broken the glass ceiling for other women". Only in the sense that all the women beneath her were blinded by falling shards. She is an icon of individualism, not of feminism."

    Comedic but intelligent.

    Good article.

Sorry but I don't know why I should care what singers and comedians have to say on the matter

I too was thinking about Thatcher's offspring and how difficult it must be to carry that surname all your life.
I then read an article on Mark and Carol and learnt that neither were currently living in the UK, had no plans to return, and that Carol stated she had left the UK because she had become increasingly disillusioned with life in the country.

What a great testament to the legacy of Margaret Thatcher that both her children left the country she helped to mould.

Worth reading some of his other recent articles in the Guardian. Excellent stuff. When he isn't been an arse he's obviously got an interesting view on the world.

Those singers, mixing pop and politics, eh? First Woodie Guthrie and now this. What is the world coming to?
