He's come a long way since the Ipswich game at the start of the season. On that performance, I was concerned we'd recruited a talented footballer with no appetite for the 'ugly side' of the game. Having now played regularly for half a season, he's adding an end product, which is what he needs if he wants to make a career at this level or the one above. As mentioned previously, in the academy and U23 leagues, he has been allowed the luxury of playing a technical game and having more of a free role. For us, that was never going to happen. He's had to develop his team work and tactical knowledge in a deeper role than he's use to.

Hemsy - please don't persistently look for uniquely alternative solutions that really don't enhance your credibility lad - Kent is beginning to contribute massively to our cause and Hecky should be taking the plaudits along with Ryan for that.

No doubt, but it shows what he's capable of, particularly once he gets used to the 'professional' game and the rigors of Championship football. Now that Conor has moved on, the time is right to let him see more of the ball......he can do stuff most others aren't capable of.

Fairly obvious Hemsy sees Kent as a direct replacement for Conor. Must be really scrambled in that lads head.

Yes I completely agree with that. We need someone to step up and fill that void. As much as I appreciate high pressing (the kind Watkins provides) we need more flair and cutting edge out wide. Kent definitely adds that. Still feel Hammill has a big part to play for the remainder of the season. James, once fit, will add box to box energy, more so than Morsy was capable of.
Its a great platform for Kent to shine playing for us. It works for all parties and I'm sure it will further strengthen our hand in recruiting similar talented footballers in future seasons.

And Rodriguez needs to play centre half instead of Roberts.
