They had two on one whitey.

I'm not saying Wiseman did nothing wrong. I even said, you have to be quicker wiseman during the game.
But hassell makes mistakes too and thats why he got took off instead of Wiseman, Maybe?

They had Chicksen on Wiseman, and he tore Scott a new arsehole. I saw the game, Phil.
I also saw Hassell do a job on Chadwick/Bowditch, before TK ****** up and we conceded.

I think Bob was subbed for Delap for fresh legs reasons. Wiseman wasn't tired, he just wasn't defending well, as per. He looked far better first half when Bob was covering him and allowing him to bomb on - see the Harewood goal for example, which started when Bob found Wiseman who found Mellis and so on and so forth...

I also saw Wiseman having another new arsehole torn on Tuesday, by Sako. Luckily, Saunders moved him.

Chadwick's probably about Hassell's level then in that case. He's not getting picked to play against championship opposition week in week out for a reason, and fair enough if we were losing games you might have an argument but unfortunately you don't. Sako's one of the better players in the division so it's hardly surprising that he occasionally found space, but to blame Wiseman for their goal really is clutching at straws! You say HTs got a problem with Hassell, but you clearly have a problem with Wiseman also. Has he done something to offend you personally?

there was someone else out there too whitey. Often making around in behind him so he couldn't meet the player higher up. I'll be honest, im not up on mkdons players or i would have been able to tell you who.

So from what I can gather from this thread is that we are signing Tunnicliffe on loan and Hemsie still hates Hassell?

    Have i missed anything?

    Yes - Wiseman can't defend.

Anyone who still plays for Barnsley who was signed pre 2008ish is ****.

Subtle as a brick is Phil.

Eh? Where/when did I blame Wiseman for Wolves' goal? Or MK's goal?

    That's right, I didn't.
I haven't said HT has a problem with Hassell, either.

Have you got issues with your eyes, or reading problems perhaps? Because you're certainly seeing things that aren't there, mate.

I admit that I think 'HT' doesn't rate Hassell, and he's entitled to be in the minority with that opinion. Just as I am entitled to my opinion that Scott Wiseman is not a defender. We're not talking about a Dagnall or Etuhu here, who got judged after 10 games or whatever. We're talking about a lad that has played nearly EIGHTY games for the club and I'd be hard pushed to recall 5 games where he impressed me for 90 minutes.

He has done nothing to "offend" me personally. I just don't rate the lad, and I'm far from alone in that opinion.

    Glad we've cleared that up.

Hang on a sec, I'm well aware that you didn't say all that yourself. Think you'll find all the above mentioned at some point in this thread however, so no problem with my reading or eyes! Apart from the fact I've probably clicked the wrong reply button when posting, so apologies for that mate. But still, the criticism for Wiseman seems to be completely disproportionate to his performances on the pitch. Like it or not he is a part of Flitcroft's long-term plan for the club and we definitely won't see an improvement from him while he feels he's walking a tightrope with the fans. It's pretty obvious that he's become the scapegoat for peoples' frustration over Hassell not featuring but, at the end of the day that isn't his decision, it's the manager's. Not trying to make any enemies on here mate, just don't like to see any of the lads coming in for undue criticism on a forum they're highly likely to read.

    This thread is pathetic.

Supposed to be about Tunnicliffe, and turns into another Wiseman v Hassell argument.

Not been posting long, and this sort of thread put me off even joining the BBS for several years.

Sometimes I look at the BBs and see 400 or so members browsing, and you can read their names, but only a fraction of them ever post. And no f***ing wonder!!!!

I thought Foster was stuck In quick sand for the wolves goal, if anyone was to blame it was him. I wouldn't blame wiseman for it either

Though I do think that Wiseman is terrible and a liability. Positioning is awful

I get your point, I really do. But it'll be a sad day for forums such as this when we are no longer able to judge a player.

I give my full and unswerving support to each player on a matchday at Oakwell, and choose to use this particular medium to put across my praise/criticism. I'm quite sure that the players understand and accept that. After all, I am in essence contributing to their over inflated wage packets.

And believe me, my opinion that Hassell is quality is not the reason I criticise Wiseman. I criticise the bloke for his poor defending, nothing more, nothing less. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that they both play in similar positions.

Also, there isn't a player at the club that I want to succeed more than Wiseman. I'd love him to prove us all wrong. But we're talking 20 months and nearly 80 games. I think he's had plenty of opportunity to impress/improve.

Scott wiseman will leave the club this summer. Nailed on.

Flicker has mentioned that it hasn't worked for him here. He gets mullered by the fans, I think fairly as he's not performed - ever - by my reckoning, but he's obviously the type of person who's affected by the flak, unlike somebody like John terry. I don't blame him for that, it just shows he's human and cares.

I'm pretty certain that he could be a better player than we've seen here. But I don't see him improving here.

A fresh start would do him no harm, and might just appease one or two of us on here.

I've nothing against him personally. Every time he pulls on a reds shirt nobody will support him more than me. I hope I'm wrong and that he improves and stays.

But, like for any other player, if i think he's consistently poor I have the right to express that on here. Just like hemsie has the right to express his thoughts on hassell on here, despite the fact that his opinion is not based on actual football ability, or even sane, logical thinking.
