That’s the point will work against limited sides but this country is very different to the US.

I get this. It’s just the way the crowd starts murmuring when we pass it square or backwards. When we all know if we just get it forward it means a lump to their centre half. I guess the idea is keep the ball and hope for one of their players to lapse in concentration or some movement. But that didn’t happen today.

Except we did the pointless pass when a chance to progress was on a few times today.

But using this argument he had limited players and a limited team too because of the league he was in. Because otherwise they would have been elsewhere. It’s not like he had a team of players miles better, just that he organised them better.

    Principles are the same no?

As said by others, today was hugely underwhelming. But, there was a huge Luca Connell shaped hole in midfield. He, and Phillips, are potentially the only two midfielders, we have, who actually drive us forward.
And, to watch Blackpool, they were very dull but very organised in how they defended in two banks of five.
Collins doesn’t inspire me, but talk of outing him is far too premature, in my opinion.
We haven’t, Yet, fielded our best XI, but are competing well at the top end of the table.

    Eh?

Doesn’t really make sense. If his tactics made the difference it wouldn’t matter where he managed?

I’m not sure I understand. I’m saying that his tactics must have made a difference in tampa because he can’t have randomly had a miles better team than the rest of the league and he had an excellent record. he was playing on a level playing field and was decent at his job. Maybe just needs some time here to implement?

I agree it's like we played chess in trying to draw Blackpool on to us in the first half. But when we were behind and needed a goal we were far more foreward thinking which begs the question that if that's the best way to score why not start that way.

Time will tell but it doesn’t seem to be playing out that way.

Not sure how you can’t think he could have assembled a team to play his style there - in a league that isn’t all that competitive by comparison compared to a professional league in the Uk.

I think it’s about the phase of the game and them tiring and retreating further and us getting more desperate so playing with more recklessness. Could be talking **** mind.

8 shots blocked and scrambled away...two or three poor misses...two stonewall penalties turned down...if O'Keefe hadn't dived in and we'd drawn 0-0, we'd be 4th in the table now.

It's not actually FACT at all...it's not my cup of tea admittedly but good teams can do it....it's those who are crap that don't get promoted.

If we'd drawn today we'd be 4th in the League...3rd if we'd won...is that really awful or unacceptable?

If one of those blocked shots had gone in we’d be fourth in the table as well, we also wouldn’t have drawn a blank at home.

But I’d still be saying exactly the same thing.

We have no shape, no plan, no identity. Under duff last season we had a slower start - but could see what he was moving towards and could see improvement week on week.

This team is going backwards. Performances are getting worse, at least they are at Oakwell. We have lost four league games at home before the end of September. In league bloody one - I can’t remember us losing this many this quickly at home in the championship, never mind the ale house league.

I’m not usually knee jerk and I think he probably will be given a much longer run - but I’d neither be shocked nor disappointed if he was relieved of his duties sooner than we’d think. And as I’ve said; there’s an obvious (to me) candidate to come in.

Where do you think we'd find the money that Neil demands?
