Neither can I see Patrick Cryne

Putting Barnsley Football Club in financial difficulties by giving a manager a contract that gives said employee all the bargaining chips. He's an astute, successful businessman and far too wise to fall into that sort of trap.

It's hardly a discussion is it?

We should be getting behind the manager not trying to undermine him with these stupid polls after every fecking game.

    As I say

No one on here knows the truth with Simon Davey's contract and nor should they.

I'm a Davey supporter but it has to be said he hasn't come up with the goods this season......

............then again, we don't know whats happened behind the scenes

I thought get some quality strikers in and our problems will be solved
But after yesterdays shocking performance I'm begining to wonder.
Hopefully it was just a one off..................hopefully

What do you mean by getting a coach who can coach?

No one else is claiming to know what goes on, they're just giving their opinion on what they would do.

    MANAGER!

is what's needed. Not a coach, a manager who can get the best out of the players. All the players. Not somene who keeps falling out with players. A manager! To manage.

"Do you think we should sack him?"

    "yes/no"

That looks like a discussion to me.

He don't think it's so much that he has divided the opinion

as much as patrick crynes unwillingness to sort the problem months ago has led to a lot of fans thinking it is now too late to change the manager and give a new guy any real chance of doing anything this year

    A MANAGER!

Not a coach, a proper manager, who can manage grown men. Without falling out with them. Someone who the players will run through a brick wall for. Not someone with some badges. A MANAGER!

    JC mentioned ritchie again

I'll tell you what. Ritchie might have only played head tennis with the players in training but maybe simple simon should try that because the tactic he is using of hoofing the ball long is pointless when none of our players know how to head the chuffing thing.

Who knows what and when.......this thread is about opinions.......the noises from the club........

..............indicate Simon Daveys job is SAFE

PC wouldn't send a letter to Simon Daveys wife telling her that Simons job is safe only to sack him 2 months later.

I dont "know" but have heard some believable evidence

that Davey has certain targets to achieve - these werent in the cup either

I'd be amazed if there isnt a get out clause that allows him to be dismissed if we get relegated

I am fairly sure that his target is definitely more points than last year, and if he acheives that then he should continue. What that means if we escape relegation on the penultimate game of the season again I dont know but I am sure there is a limit to our owners patience.

Also mitigating factors like entertaining football , bringing on our own players etc arent going to contribute much if he misses the target.

    We yeh.

But that comment was replying to that well known Wigan fan and supporter of Ritchie and Holden, Slackbladder, who was once going to send Holden round to give me a kicking.
