You dont like the answer. That’s different to not giving you an answer. When you are the level of personal insults you’ve list the argument my little friend. So my answer is for professional coaches to play a different way in home games than the one they had failed all season. Your only 1 formation can work is rather shot down by the fact it has failed time and time again. So in summation. Ditch your failed set up and play to our attacking strengths. I’m not a professional coach so it’s not my job to do that. I assume you are given your pontificating.
Pretty much agree with everything you've said there. The players are poorly coached (and Ill say that even if they win today). They look disorientated on the pitch. They look nervous. They don't play as a unit. The defence is misshapen and players dont support effectively when trying to attack. Its very poor football, its boring, frustrating and uninspiring. Collins has had enough time to learn and change but has actually made decent L1 players look worse. He needs to go, if not now then in the close season as long as the board have the nous to appoint someone who knows what they're doing.
Since trying to defend a 2 goal lead against bolton We've been awful I think that game really took alot out of the players. I'm losing patience fast this is like watching non league.
Blokes well out of his depth even the burton commentators aren't impressed with his football. Possession in unimportant areas. I'd get shut asap
We’re 5th in the league. What on earth are you talking about? Failed time & time again? Are you living on a different planet? My failed set up? It’s the club who’ve signed loads of wing backs & no wingers. Do you think I’m the chief exec or Neil Collins? If you go on the team news post you’ll see loads of people confused about who plays where because we’ve somehow managed to build a squad where we don’t have a natural left back or any wingers. The recruitments been appalling.
The blokes blessed with some of the best players in the league he's turned good players last season into average to poor one's.
Williams and cadden 2 of the best wing backs in the league last season Kane connell would get in any side in the league Phillips a top league one player Roberts a good keeper at this level Cole scored 15 last season and more this season Macatee would get in any league one side.
I agree we’ve got some cracking players but we’re poor at centre back & we’ve not signed any wingers which makes it very difficult to do anything but like for like subs.
This obviously. It’s the elephant in the room for those who reckon Collins has been dealt a bad hand. Also Earl is generally considered one of the best defenders in the league. Of the back line you’d only point to a question mark over McCart. Most weeks when we aren’t playing the top 6 we have one player in Kane who cost more than the whole opposition squad.
I agree center back is our weakest position but de giveney has been getting praise all season and Earl is a decent player at league one. We have players to play 352 with wing backs and that's it which makes the line up and team selection today even more baffling.
De Gevigney’s clearly got talent but he can be a liability. When he got spun second half he nearly cost us a goal. I’ve not watched enough of Earl to know how good he is but he’s had some excellent performances & some shockers in his short time with us. I’m not sold on any of the others at centre back barring Pines who I thought complemented the ball playing centre backs either side of him really well. I think today was the manager saying there’s been a couple of shocking performances recently against Lincoln & Cambridge & he wanted to get a reaction from a few players. I doubt he honestly thinks Earl at left back & O’Keeffe & Cadden on the wing is the way to go going forward.
Sack him. A 1-0 loss away at Burton. Oh right, football is a 90 minute game sorry. Hopefully people realise that teams need to be rotated when you're playing two games in three days and that sometimes you need to think about impact subs, changing games and the bigger picture. Best clean up lads, we seem to have won 3-1.
We haven’t a decent winger at the club. Cadden ain’t a patch on last year, and everyone else is L2 standard at best. Williams is the only one who can do a job - but he’s been played out of position mostly, which I get why.
Do you think we need to give the other side a chance for the first 45 minutes by picking a bizarre team/formation, so that we go in behind at half time?
