Going by the highlights. Looks clear enough to me, although I accept others may view it differently. There's no right or wrong about it - just opinions.

We should if the ones on Luke Thomas and kane aren't red then neither was caddons i didn't even think it was a foul. 2 players going for ball collided, one got up one rolled about as if been shot and the bloke they called the ref believed him

I've just looked again (cadden sending off) imho, ref in a good position but its a foul and a booking....he's not gone with malicious intent, studs up, to hurt his opponent...it looks like he stretched out his leg and foot....its still a foul and a booking.
Kane and Thomas were the recipients of a much worse with intent.

Norwood, Collins & Kitching are also ex-FGR players.

I thought it was a free kick to us in the ground (east lower) was shocked to see the ref reach for his back pocket.

However, if it was my decision I wouldn’t be appealing. It’s not clear from the highlights that the referee has made a mistake, and what’s going against us is the referee’s position, he couldn’t be better placed. Unless there’s another video out there somewhere there isn’t a chance that’s getting overturned.

I’d leave it and have him back for the Ipswich game. It’s someone else’s chance to shine, hopefully they can take their chance like others have this season.

Larkeche deserves a chance to fill in for Cadden but I wouldn’t be against letting Kitching run riot from left wing back but I’m not sure we’d have enough quality to replace him at centre back .

Be silly not to. It can only be increased to a 4 match ban if the appeal is seen to be frivolous. Given the debate on here, its certainly not frivolous.

I remember Alex Mowatt's straight red getting overturned against Wycombe, under Val. Cadden's tackle was no worse than this, IMO.

    Tackle at 1.15

If I'm being totally honest, I think you can make a case for all those tackles being a yellow.

The 4th match is Ipswich, I'd rather he was back for that, unless we can convince the Jamaican FA to send a dodgy email to the efl in our favour this time.

So you actually think it's not worth having a go at getting it rescinded.. as I say the appeal has to be frivolous for it to extend the ban. I'd much rather take a chance..But at the end of the day it will be down to the club including Duff. Who I think ? won his case. Don't remember him sitting in the stands. I'm a big fan of Cadden's..would hate to lose him for the next 3. The 4th is an unlikely maybe for me.

So before it was mentioned that the evidence to overturn a ban wasn’t there with the West stand view. Has the “ alternative angle” been out there before ? Clearly shows that it wasn’t an excessively bad tackle.

Just seen an angle from the the corner of the east stand/away end and there’s no way it gets overturned.

    https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/ifollow/video-archive/?video=465360#.ZDZTPoxUEOE.link

Happens at 11:45 on the alternative angle video.

No grounds on which to appeal it I'm afraid. Cadden's caught their lad late and there's no getting away from that. He hasn't helped himself by leading with his left foot when with the way he was facing, it would have looked more natural if he'd have led with his right. He might have won the ball had he done that too.

It's not malicious, but I can understand why it's a red card. Presumably it will only be overturned if upon review they deem it to be a professional foul and not violent conduct, which I can't see happening.

Take it on the chin and move on.
