Took my lad to an Orlando game 2 years ago. Great night out, great experience but chuff me, the safe standing / singing section for the ultras was cringeworthy. I'm sure you'll chuckle in embarrassment. Am sure the guys leading it all used to be called Village People when I were a lad. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Obvious benefit of safe standing is the defined capacity. Would you have to "stand in you're designated seat"? I can only think that tickets for safe standing areas would be for a specific "seat", rather than a free for all. I always stood at grounds, but have to say that Burton away last season wasn't pleasant. Not sure if the capacity is overstated. Stewards had a thankless task trying to get many of our supporters to keep gangways clear etc.
The Orlando safe standing area is unreserved. I emailed the club querying that and their reply: If you purchase a ticket in our safe standing section, you and your son will be able to stand where you please. First come first serve basis. They also have an App similar to our Player or iFollow, but looks to offer much more and for free. It's called "LionNation"
