There was also an episode, mentioned in an issue of South Riding if memory serves me right, where Ian St John had just been banned from driving, either drink or speeding related. Anyway, just as credits start rolling, Greavsie throws him a woolly jumper. Saint asked what it was for, Greavsie said something like "It'll keep you nice and warm while you're waiting for the bus home". Production crew collapsed laughing.
Does anyone also remember the Best and Marsh show? Late night banter with the cocky scamps. Thene music by new order! Class
I remember an episode during the build up to the 1990 World cup, there was a chat with the Egypt manager (because they were in England's group), and Greavsie joked that he couldn't understand him and that he talked like Jock Wallace. Which Saint peed himself laughing at and he agreed as usual lol. And there was also an episode with a spitting image type puppet of that former pratt of a sports minister Colin Moynihan. Greavsie had it sat on his lap and he got the footy supporters Id card thing out and said "Prime minister of sport, Im now going to do with this want thousands of fans want to see happen (and Saint was saying don't Jim, no don't Jim), and he sat the puppet on top of it or in other words.... he shoved it right up his a*rse.
