It's still a form of racism as far as I'm concerned.

It's up to him who he chooses to play for.

can you be racist against your own race?

    you white Barsteward!!!

    I reckon so.

It's like one black guy calling another an 'Uncle Tom' for mixing with white people.

    but how is that racist?

the sak mahmood example isn't insulting race or religion,it's insulting a choice he's made. they aren't insulting white europeans, they are simply criticising his choice so i don't see where the race stuff comes in

It seems to be applied to a lot of abuse nowadays.

It's divisive by implying he should stick to his own race I guess, not that sure really but I reckon it would be classed as racism.

Anything that causes divisiveness and stirs up hatred.

Given current circumstances is that a bad thing?

    well

i can see how it could be if the abuse was, "you should play for pakistan not them white Barstewards" but then that would be racist against white people rather than Saj. I understand what ya getting at and in some contexts i can see what ya mean but i can't say that i agree with you.

out if interest, do you find it refreshing/nice to have a friendly conversation about race and racism without any insults flying around, even though we essentially disagree?

You can't really have an argument or discussion though

without the board loudmouth butting in. It then degenerates fast as he can't actually string an argument together. Never mind we'll keep it adult until he returns. :pff
