No, that doesn't work. The stadium is called Oakwell. If it were, actually called Jokewell, then your post would have made sense.
sponsors pay to have their name put on something for the season/contract length since when do they actually get involved in the day to day running of the club or have the power to force the club to change. Worse case scenario is they say they wont renew their contract - but they cant break the contract cos we are not top of the league.. unless thats in the contract but i doubt it. Not saying you have posted rubbish but i dont see how the sponsors can have any say with the club - they may voice their disappointment to friends etc which then gets japanese whispered onto message boards.
Re: sponsors pay to have their name put on something for the season/contract length At Barnsley the main few sponsors seem to regularly sponsor match balls and things as well so they aren't just a one off or season renew thing, they are called upon many times through the season sponsor matches
In your opinion, who was the correct appointment and who was the last manager who was the correct appointment (at the time)? Its quite easy to say that he is the wrong person for the job, and saying that about every manager means at Oakwell you are probably right about every 12 months...
