We need a different type of striker to the ones we have already have that would be no be similar to shipperley if I had to compare a striker from the past.

Would love a striker like him now or Wilkinson , ball doesn’t stick when we play it upfield now

Jury is out for me if we sign this lad, decent record last season in our league but nothing of note before hand with his other best scoring seasons being 8 in league 2 and 6 in conference south. For what we’d be rumoured to pay I hope he’s class cos if not it’s a lot of money to spend for us on one player.

As someone else has said think I’d be more interested in the kid from Wimbledon but they’re holding out for a lot more money.

I'd be happy with either in all honesty. I've not seen the lad from Wimbledon play, but Nombe is exactly the sort of striker we're missing, and has scored regularly at this level.

With something like 7 assists too.

Contributed more goals than any of our strikers last season. Not just a goalscorer either, his pressing and work rate is fantastic.

One of the best all round strikers in L1 in my opinion.

People just like to downplay signings cos they haven't scored 100 a season like Messi

Standard practice these days. Onana, caicedo, lavia etc. All agreed terms before an offer had been accepted .

Like Kitching heads not in the game cos he’s pursuing a move I’d bet he will score more than Watters did in his first 3

Good stats for this level. In truth, I think it's time for a Hail Mary, the negatives are not happy, seem to be gathering, yet it is only recreation.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Wimbledon lad has a 50% sell on clause from when they bought him hence them wanting upwards of a million.

Yeah I saw that last night. They’re apparently looking for upwards of £1.2M so he’s definitely off our list now.

A hail Mary is an American Football term for an All out Gamble Play. The negatives are the unhappy non clappers. (They really F*$K me off by the way). Recreation is what association football simply is, to us. If it's more, well.........the God that doesn't exist can't help us.

And , an aside, could that **** who stole my wrist scarf in 1975 be remorseful!

Haven't seen much of him stansfield was the standout player for Exeter for me last season. 1million seems alot for a player who's had one good season but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

    Ooh!

Is there any other deals on the horizon? Are we going back in for that Jack Tucker at MK Dons?

Over the course of the season, Nombe seemed to get more plaudits than Stansfield, certainly more goals, and he's linked with Sunderland at the minute. Honestly, when we played them at their place, Nombe was their stand out player for me.
