I'd rather keep brown where he left off last season (the wing) his goals and assists were a massive part of our promotion.
Any chance we will be back in for him in January? Everything l’ve read about him seems like he’s an excellent prospect.
Just reading this & I still can’t get my head round many peoples comments on Moore. This ‘not proven in the championship’ line, it makes no sense. There’s only Mowatt in the whole squad who’s more proven in that league. He looked perfectly capable in the 4 months he had with us. I’m sure Oli McBurnie would tell you Kieffer’s decent at that level with the amount of work he did to help him get in goal scoring positions. I must’ve been watching a different player. Moore seems to be a really underrated player because he isn’t a clinical first time finisher but his all round game is excellent. We did really well to get over the line & grind out results but the football we played was far better with Moore in the side & most of the high scoring results came with him in the team rather than when he was out with the head injury & we had a lot of really tight victories & rode our luck more. In terms of replacements & possible signings, Toney gets wrote off by many as not good enough for the championship yet Chaplin who’s less proven has almost everyone responding positively to his signing. There seems to be a culture on here of everyone that leaves or doesn’t end up joining us ‘isn’t that good anyway’, we’ve had it with Bradshaw, Potts, Lindsay, Davies & now Moore within the last 12 months. Loads were praising Pearce & then he doesn’t join & its ‘Oduor’s better & Pearce got relegated with Scunthorpe so he can’t be any good’. No doubt next summer when Woodrow leaves us it’ll be ‘no great loss he’s not that good, Schmidt’s better anyway’. Maybe I’m just not biased enough
Moores **** in the championship l've seen him, we'll revisit this in May. Even Rotherham fans are commenting on the sitters he misses.
He’ll not do as well at Wigan as he would’ve done with us, don’t think any of Lindsay, Pinnock & Davies will, new team mates & style of play, settling in, hunger etc. Rotherham fans didn’t have a bad word to say about him until he left them. He got 13 goals in 22 appearances for them so must’ve done something right
I think Pinnock together with Jansson will be one of the best central defensive partnerships in the division.
Be interesting to see how they get on playing in a back 3 that neither are used to. Didn’t start well
I didn't realise that they were playing a back three. Surely professional footballers can adapt to different systems without too much difficulty? I only watched brief highlights of the Birmingham game, but it looked like Birmingham were very lucky to leave without a tonking.
They should be able to but barely anyone that leaves us seems to do well, at least not initially anyway
Our big money departures certainly seem to have been a bit of a mixed bag as far as how their careers progressed after leaving us.
