Ye Olde Sausage Shop at Botany Bay in Chorley or Oswaldtwistle Mill in Accrington if you're ever over that way. Brilliant selection & I've enjoyed every one type I've tried. Cannon Hall Farm Shop is pretty good as well.

    Kassler

its a smoked pork chop basically, but what they smoke it with is unknown to me, but its just fantastic. Frikadellas are lush... there used to be a deli at ****um on the way to the ferry... they sold someof the best Frik's I ever had.

    Mangalica.

As the rain poured down on a Sunday afternoon in Budapest, we sat beneath a Dreher umbrella, eating thick white bread, fresh homemade mustard and Mangalica sausage. Cured and laden with paprika, it really was quite amazing (very similar to Chorizo or Merguez, if you're that way inclined). If you ever visit Hungary, make sure you seek out these delicacies and give them a try.

I tried some sausage the other day from my local butcher. They were just a promotional offer, and were made with stout and molasses. They were superb.

The tomato sausages from Hopkinsons up Athersley are pretty damn good.

I have just added a new sausage to my "like" list.

Falukorv, it is a Swedish sausge that is ready to eat, or can be cooked in various ways.
I have had it tonight baked with apple and onions in creamy cheese and mustard .
Bloody fantastic with herby roast potatoes and garden peas !

I still get curry sauce delivered here, a full 20 years after coming back from Germany.

Have a look at this: http://www.germandeli.co.uk/

Delivery is pricey, but it's worth it if you stock up once a year.
