I read recently that Morrisey was in favour of reforming for a tour, but Johnny Marr wasn’t. Shame really, but a great excuse for me to link a bit of Smiths
I know nowt.. just gossip from American friends from bands.? It wouldn’t surprise me if true? If there is money to be made.? & don’t be surprised if Blur hit the road? I’m Imagining a right effing wrestling match, next summer.? should be a nice giggle.
I can’t see that ever happening? & it shouldn’t. Yes. John would never have that. & Andy passed away last year. So it could never really be the Smiths..
Tbf though, Morriseys voice and Marrs melodic guitar were two of the main components of the Smiths for many, so they’d probably still be hugely popular.
Incredibly underwhelmed wouldn't even join the queue for tickets never mind sit for 8 hours trying maybe they could be Oasis' support act
Oasis not in the same league as REM. The Gallaghers made two ok albums, never cracked America, and were extremely derivative. I’ll sing along to Wonderwall like everyone else, but let’s be real.
Much as I'd love it to be true, I really can't see it. Got together for a one-off single song performance of Losing My Religion earlier this year, but they've always said they're finished. It's not as if they need the money.
Last I heard, all 4 still live in Georgia fairly close to each other and meet up for the occasional gig and food in Athens but aren't interested in working again.
Im being real it's my opinion . I'm not a fan of REM, they have a few good songs I could maybe listen to a best of album. I could create a playlist of over 50 oasis songs and not skip a song. Oasis have B sides better than REM songs wonderwall probably wouldn't be on that playlist.
