Cheers Dirktog3000 All the savings stamps you get from the post office come with a book to stick 'em in. Little bits of paper like that have a habit of getting lost, no matter how careful you are.
One minor benefit OK, I guess the gifting aspect of it is a minor benefit. You could ask for a savings stamp for your birthday/christmas present, which is a lot more affordable than a whole season ticket. Other than that, there is no benefit to the individual - you'd be better off with your money in the bank. It's curious that some of you think the lack of flexibility with savings stamps (i.e. you cannot use the money for anything else) is a BENEFIT!? If your car breaks down or your house floods, are you going to pay for the repairs with Barnsley stamps?
It's not compulsory. You can still keep your money in the bank if you want.</p> Some people might find the discipline involved in saving for a specific item useful - eg like those Christmas clubs and that.</p> </p>
Here you go. Just stick the stamps to your screen, you won't lose them then!</p> </p><p align="center"><font color="#ff0000"><font face="trebuchet ms,geneva"><font size="6">Barnsley FC Official<font color="#ffcc99">(ish)</font> Saving Stamps Book</font></font></font> </p><table cellspacing="10" cellpadding="50" border="1" align="center" width="600"> <tbody><tr><td> £10</p> Random Tat </p></td><td> £20 </p> Training Shirt </p></td><td> £30 </p> </p></td><td> £40</p> Replica Shirt </p></td><td> £50</p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £60 </p> </p></td><td> £70</p> </p></td><td> £80</p> </p></td><td> £90</p> </p></td><td> £100 </p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £110</p> </p></td><td> £120 </p> </p></td><td> £130</p> </p></td><td> £140</p> </p></td><td> £150</p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £160</p> </p></td><td> £170</p> Half Season Ticket </p></td><td> £180</p> </p></td><td> £190</p> </p></td><td> £200</p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £210</p> </p></td><td> £220</p> </p></td><td> £230</p> </p></td><td> £240</p> </p></td><td> £250</p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £260</p> </p></td><td> £270</p> Season Ticket (Ponty) </p></td><td> £280</p> </p></td><td> £290</p> Season Ticket (East Lower) </p></td><td> £300</p> </p></td></tr><tr><td> £310</p> </p></td><td> £320</p> </p></td><td> £330</p> </p></td><td> £340</p> Season Ticket (East Upper) </p></td><td>£350</td></tr></tbody> </table> </p>
Good idea - keep that going Until you can afford your own player. Unless you spent at £50 to get El Hamour and Sodje.
RE: One minor benefit I can't see what point you are making The whole idea is to make the (already very generously priced) season tickets more affordable Can't see the relevance to your car breaking down or your house getting flooded??
Are they going to install a stamp machine, or will there be long queues at the box office.... We could get Star down every week to con them into thinking everybody were queuing for match tickets..... imagine the hordes pushing for this weeks stamp. You wont be a real fan if you dont queue for stamp every week, never mind it cost £5 in petrol to get there...
Free entry to friendlies + this = best season ticket sales technique That i've ever seen at oakwell. Can't fault it one bit though like Jay says a book for keeping them in could be a good idea but even if they don't provide an official one there's nothing stopping you from buying a cheap holder for them
