    I'm watching too.
Wonder how we'd fare against either of these. We'll probably find out soon enough.

Wasn't aware Simon Heslop plays for Scarborough.
(Come on as sub) Nor did I think he was that old. (35) Time flies.

I'll take it, it's a former player, but who ?

Bailey Gooda academy defender. Brilliant to see them win. They can more than consolidate in the National North next season.

Mad to think they are only three divisions below us. And they have come full circle after winding up in 2007 - they would have actually gone down to the Northern Premier that year if they hadn't gone bust. I may have to have a drive up the M5 to watch them at Gloucester City next year. Chuffed for them, great memories of watching Scarborough and so pleased a footballing buzz is back in the town.

Brilliant for the locals and what a wonderful town. Delighted for our three old players. Hope they can get in the Football League in the next few seasons. It would be great to have a pre season friendly there sometime to make a weekend of it. Bars in the town centre tonight like Scarborough Flyer will be rocking.

Gloucester are in National North? Amazing...... It's 150 odd miles from Barnsley....must be 230 miles from Scarboro lol :)

Just checked National North, York are there in a playoff place.

Edit: National North included Gateshead, Spennymoor & Blyth Spartans this season. That's quite a fair distance to be travelling from Gloucester for "Regional League" games

It's a strange one! There are a few teams in the league whose geographical location renders their inclusion in the 'Northern' league questionable, including Hereford, Kettering and Peterborough Sports (also newly promoted).

it’s obviously to split the teams evenly. You’ve just got to suspend your view of what “north” actually is. The north is just the 24 most northerly teams.

The northern premier league and Southern league Central both feed into the national north. The Isthmian league and southern league south feed into the national south.

Whenever teams such as Gateshead, Blyth, truro and kings Lynn are in the north/south leagues the traveling times aren’t small. And the teams in the middle often are changed between the leagues with little notice depending on promotion/ relegation of other teams

As an aside I’d regionally organize the national league and league 2 to make a league 2 north and south. Would make perfect sense on every level.

Love it. Unfortunately their form is a bit dodgy, they've lost 4 home games on the bounce which is concerning, thankfully their away form has been decent. Hopefully they manage it!

They were flying in the first half of the season but have suffered a bit lately. They've scored a shedload of goals but also shipped a load, reminds me of us in the 99/00 season!
