    I've nothing at all against moon. I like him.

    But I've no respect for a manager when 3 more experienced players for that position are available

    In my opinion

    I’m going to have to stop laying us on Betfair now, I’m a rubbish fan but it has been a very profitable run...

    Is Eckert still at the club? I ask this as since his 3 match suspension for the Stoke fracas, I can't recall seeing him

    Fair. But Hondermarck is arguably less experienced having never started a game there, and as mentioned if Benson/Palmer weren’t 100% fit I see the logic not starting either when you’re bringing Madds back for the first time in months.

    Doesn’t matter now. I just think Moon had a decent game above what some have described (who unlike you didn’t even watch the game and probably thought he was going to play badly before a ball was kicked).

    I've not seen anywhere that he's left. It's not as if the club would not make an announcement when someone had left the club(!) :)

    This is your problem Ben. You can't accept anyone elses opinion above your own

    And then make it personal

    And then get pilloried for the next three years for a 21-word statement. It's a lose-lose situation.

    Woah. I’ve just said ‘fair’ which is accepting your opinion, repeating why I gave mine, and then saying it doesn’t matter too much now anyway.

    And where did I make it personal? Haven’t done that at all. Saying ‘this is your problem Ben’ feels the most personal thing in the whole thread to be honest.

    I wish him all the best. He didn’t say anything wrong whilst he was here…. But it didn’t work out.

    Hopefully we can bounce back up the league.

    Jesus. You’ve read that completely wrong. I’m saying you actually watched the game whereas others haven’t and still criticise his performance. Read it back - I’ve not edited at word. ‘Who unlike you didn’t actually watch the game’.

    I try 99% of the time to not get personal on here. I’m sure I’ve slipped up in the past, but I’m quick to call out anything like that.

    It's early days, so I want to see what the true position is, but if this ends up being the case then it would point towards absolutely reprehensible conduct by those in charge.

    Think whatever you like about Schopp, but this would point to the club opting to keep someone in position for an unspecified period of time, long after it was clear he was not suited to the role, in a high pressure situation with little regard for his mental wellbeing. Presumably they've then been prepared to allow him to continue with little support in that role, effectively to enforce a resignation, which may or may not have come, at some undetermined point in time.

    The logical conclusions to take from that would be:
    - it reinforces the belief that our league position is a secondary consideration, as this is potentially a stand-off that could have gone on indefinitely, with an ineffective coach in charge;
    - it raises yet more questions about the financial state of the club if they are prepared to resort to tactics such as these to avoid a pay-off;
    - it would essentially send a signal out to all employees & players, both current and future, that we really don't believe in respecting the duty of care to our staff.

    Essentially, it would point to all other matters being secondary to saving a bit of money on a bad appointment decision.

    I'm aware that there's a lot of supposition within this but, if he's chosen to resign, I'm struggling to see any alternative conclusions that can be drawn around the whole saga.

    I really, really hope that when this news breaks officially, it ends up being a decision taken by the club, and not a resignation, or at least a 'mutual consent' thing which implies that a settlement has been reached. Otherwise, those running the club may have done the impossible and actually made my opinion of them sink further.

    I working on the basis that it has to be a sacking or a mutual agreement, perhaps more through hope than anything else. The alternative is too dire to contemplate as being realistic.
