I'll start it. I'll @ the club on twitter with just that as the hashtag.... Feel free to join in Ps I'm not asking for likes or retweets
Done.... Although I'd actually forgot how to send and hastag..... Rarely start a tweet, normally hit reply lol
I know we're all fed up (putting things politely) upset etc etc but let's not start getting abusive towards the club. For whatever reason MS hasn't gone so after Sunday's match, especially if we still retain our new name Barnsley Nil I suggest that we boycott the ground, don't buy any match day tickets both home and away, stop buying merchandise. I'd even stop phoning football heaven. Once the board realise the fans have turned their backs the penny might drop. Use this opportunity to support one of the local none league teams for a while. I think we've all passed the point of feeling upset, mad, frustrated, hurt etc etc to just not caring anymore. Next step for some will be hating the club and that when we'll start to see people being abusive.
The problem started before this regime came in. It's the reason this regime thought we were so attractive. The club can run on 7500 season ticket holders it gets in League 1. As long as the core 7500 keep buying season tickets they couldn't give a f cuk.
Abusing the club is justified IF that abuse is constructed and aimed solely at the 80 per centers . NOT the likes of box office, Whitey, Beth and others who are part of the real BFC family.
If the board don't sack him today.. then it must be a financial decision. Just don't want to pay him off. Conway as already said he doesn't mind what league we're in.
The last season in league one saw an operating loss of £4.8m. The owners no longer have a cash buffer in the business. Even if 7500 buy season tickets at an average cost of £300, that is only £2.25m. The wage bill last time in League one, despite contractual reductions, was £8.1m. Relegation this time round could have a massive impact, fire sale of any high earners to reduce the wage bill and replacement with young/cheap talent. The club really is in a bit of a pickle.
If he’s still in charge on Sunday then he’s not going unless he resigns. Probably got a relegation clause which means he’ll be sacked the second the final whistle of the final game goes.
Just thinking... Morais had a relegation clause and wasn't paid compensation. Stendel was sacked, and the club tried not to pay compensation, threatening to sue, which never materialised. And Struber did just about everything he could to get sacked but they didn't act until they got compensation. The constant seems to be they don't like paying our coaches off.
If New York hadn't come in we'd have been in this predicament last season. The first seven games last season are exactly how this this season has began and carried on.
Dont agree with any abuse at all mate. That's why social media gets so toxic. Get angry and critical for sure but abuse? No thanks. There were a few abusive posts about Conway last night on this very forum ridiculing his physical features. Achieves nothing.
It would be hypocritcal in the extreme for me to abuse someone on physical features, so hopefully I am not that childish. But I will point out vocally his failings, his business acumen and his lack of understanding of the English game until the day he packs his bags. If that is abuse ....... so be it. the Scottish Giants must be quaking in their boots at his plans to shake up the game North of the Border.
He looked a dead man walking tho last night. His whole demeanor was that of condemned man with nowhere to turn..
