Scone or scon? Yet another word pronunciation debate

    I've got friends living in Scone

    Near Scone Palace, where "the wee magic stane" should reside....

    Pronounced Scoon in that particular usage.

    Here we go... according to wiki...

    Scon is the (more popular) upper class pronunciation and scone is the middle class pronunciation. Dunno where the working and under classes come into it.
