If picking my 11 in order of importance I’d pick Phillips first and Benson second. But that’s not to say you’re wrong. Game of opinions isn’t it? I think it’s positive that Darrell has such options. And I’m intrigued to see what he decides moving forward. There’s the likes of Russell and Nwakali to consider too. Very heavily stocked in midfield. Not so much elsewhere.
Frustrates me like hell because he's a brilliant player but I don't feel like we've got the quality throughout the team to carry that kind of player if that makes sense. Maybe with a run of games Benson could actually provide that cover behind him to allow him to be at his best. But then as asked who misses out. A tough one
Another difficult game but one that I think is winable especially if the 'good' Barnsley turn up. I'm hoping Pines will be back - to replace CoK - so we can resort to the 4-1-4-1 formation that was looking promising earlier in the season. Additionally - and as discussed further up the thread - I'd move Connell further back to accommodate Benson and leave Craig out. Stockport started the season well but haven't won in three and haven't played anyone in the top 8 so I hoping our quality will prove too much for them. My first Barnsley bet of the season came up last weekend and I'm repeating the same bet - Barnsley double chance and over 2 goals at 6/4. I think we'll win 3-1 and I'm hoping DKD will be back amongst the goals especially after being able to train this week. Having said all that, I won't be surprised if they turn us over 0-3 but postive thoughts and all that.
I'd personally disagree with you both. Phillips is the first name on the team sheet for me, he's a match winner. He can often go missing, but he's got it in him to change the game, and it's something we've lacked for years. I honestly think the best thing so far about this season for me is that Craig playing that holding midfield role has allowed Connell to do what he did so often for Queens Park. He's flourishing in that box to box role for me. It's like we've taken the shackles off.
Good write up again mate. This will be our biggest test of the season so far and while it’s still early it will probably give us a good idea of where we or they are going to be in this league. Was camping last week but lost a bet on 1 corner. Had BTTS, Barnsley to Win, Barnsley most corners and over 7 corners. This week going for BTTS, 20+ booking points each team, 2 corners each half each team and most corners Barnsley. Bet £5 returns £115. Current profit margin £31.
