They've had the measure of us in recent games. Will be interesting to see if we've learnt from those big defeats.
I've come to expect us being out-muscled by Stoke sides, so it'll be interesting to see what happens now that we have some muscles of our own. I reckon it'll be 89 minutes of head tennis, niggling fouls, and physical tussles, with 1 minute of quality football. Fingers crossed, that 1 minute comes from us, and we'll use it to get the all important goal. Reds to win 1-0.
I have a feeling that Stoke will be better at exploiting the gaps we leave at the back when pressing high. If they nick a couple of goals doing that we’ll lose because we’re not scoring enough. If we score first then I don’t think we’ll lose.
Stoke and Millwall are huge tests for us - exactly the sort of physical team that we're usually beaten by. It'd be huge if we beat them.
There are reports in the local Stoke papers, that Sam Clucas and James McClean are both set to miss tonight's game due to injury. If that's true it does our prospects of a win little harm. Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is convinced we are set to close the gap on the front runners and goes for a 1-0 win to the Reds. I'll drink to that. COYR.
As some of you have said, we are due to give someone a pasting (where it all just clicks) but I doubt it will be Stoke. I think it could be 3-0 or 0-3 .............. dreading a flat feeling tomorrow.
