    Years of supporting the reds tells me that we have a good record in games we are certain to lose It wouldn’t surprise me if we go and win this or at least get a point

    Hard to judge as we don't know what our team and formation will be, sadly this puts us in good company with the managment team who also don't seem sure. another new face at club = another change to team...hoping 2-0 to Wigan but fearing worse....

    Great assessment. As I said on Thursday, I'm slightly surprised Wigan haven't been trimmed for the League One winner market. They are still 20/1, which looks long to me given their current form. Worth an each way poke at that price, I'd have thought. What do you think of Bolton's chances Archey?

    For the league? I don't see Ian Evatt as their biggest asset like a lot of the media does. However they've largely kept their squad together over the last few years, and added a couple more this summer, so naturally should be in or around the top 4. If anything, continuity is their biggest strength. I do wonder if someone will pay silly money before the window closes for Dion Charles though, who would be difficult to replace. They've had a favourable start so unsurprisingly are setting the pace at the minute. I'm still not convinced with them defensively though. I genuinely think Wigan e/w would be a better bet.

    The thing is, a lot of the bigger teams in this league this season have some sort of underlying issue. It's the perfect opportunity for a shock outsider to challenge the top 2.
